"can you stop ?" i asked as kiare clicked her pen over and over.

"no" she simply said not looking up from her papers. a few seconds later after more clicking i huffed and stood up snatching her pen.

"HEY THATS MINE GIVE IT" she yelled.

"can you stop clicking this d*** pen ? it's annoying asf bro" i said.

"no it helps me concentrate" she said.

"and so does music so here. use my airpods and listen to your music i will get you different pen" i said.

she pouted at me and connected my airpods to her phone. i got her a pen that doesn't have the clicky thingy lol.

"here" i said handing to her. a few minutes later it was so peaceful.. other than i could hear her music a little but it's fine.

not long afer kelsey came downstairs. she sleepily rubbed her eyes and walked over to us.

"morning" she said going straight to kiare like she don't see me here.

"well excuse tf outta me" i mumbled. i watched as they hugged each other tightly. i love it but it's kind of bitter sweet. kiare is definitely stealing kelsey from me lol.

a few seconds later she turned around and looked at me and bent down to hug me but i pushed her away.

"nope." i said.

"why not ? bae give me a hug" she whined.

"no cus you seen me right here and you gone walk straight pass me and give kiare a hug" i said.

"because that's my best friend" she argued.

"and im your gf so bffr" i said back.

"i'll make you chocolates pancakes" she said making me look up at her.

"chocolate pancakes ?" i asked and she nodded.

"okay" i said.

she wrapped her arms around my waist and i lightly rubbed her back.

a few minutes later of cuddling kelsey got up and headed to the kitchen & i followed. i got on my
phone and checked my messages and emails.

"so what are we doing besides practice ?" kelsey asked breaking the comfortable silence.

"nothing really.. unless you wanna do something" i said looking up from my phone.

"i was just asking" she said and i nodded. a few minutes later she finished cooking.

"kiare breakfast is ready" she said. i watched as kiare walked in and sat down beside me.

"plates for the twins" kelsey said sliding them to us making us giggle.

"thank you baby" i said.

"thank you sis" kiare said and she smiled and nodded at us both.

"so sis tell us about your little bf" kelsey said sitting down in front of us.

"well he's planning a trip to come to one of yall game cus he wants to meet you guys and so we can spend time with each other while he's off" she said blushing.

"ahh sis in love okay" i said.

"i love that for you girl" kelsey said.

"thank you guys" she smiled.

"tell that boy if he break yo heart imma break his sh** real quick" i said looking at kiare.

"omg i'm not telling him that" she said laughing.

"we love overprotective jack" kelsey said making me shake my head.

"it's nice to meet you" my mom said as she hugged jackie.

"it's nice to meet you too" jackie said shyly and nervously.

"come on i made a big dinner" she grabbing jackie's hand leading her to the kitchen.

"well hey to you too kelsey. my daughter" i mumbled.

"oh hey kels" my mom said quickly before turning her attention back to jackie. i laughed and shook my head.

"ouu big buffet.. that's good you should know jackie back so big and she love to eat" i said making her laugh.

"and so do you so hush" my mom said making jackie stick her tongue out at me.

we sat down for dinner and my mom and jackie got to know each other more. i could tell she was warming up too her and im really happy about that.

"so how did you two realize the feelings yall had for each other ?" my mom asked.

"well kelsey was going through her divorce at the time and so i wanted to just be there for her. she wasn't herself and i noticed. so i would go to her house everyday and pull the out of bed no matter how she felt because she had a life to live"

"so when i started going to her house everyday to check on her i was over there for hours and hours and we were with each other 24/7 considering we play basketball together as well"

"i think that's when the feelings started cus i realized like she's a sweet persona and she really cares about me" i said.

"i love that.. thank you for being there for my daughter. he really broke her but im glad she had someone to pick her up" my mom said.

"ofc i love her even before the feelings she was someone i cared about as a sister and teammate" jackie said.

"okay desert time and guess what i made ?" she said making jackie and i look at each other.

"pie" we said together and she nodded.

a few minutes later my mom came back and gave us all a piece.

"here's too new daughter in law married or not and happiness for my baby girl" my mom said.

"CHEERS" we said as we clicked our wine glasses together.

"well i can't wait for you meet her parents and her sisters. their the best" i said.

"and her mom can throw down in the kitchen too" i added making her giggle.

"yall food together at a family event ?? yeah" jackie said smiling.

"well you girls go upstairs and bathe and there's a bedroom ready for yall. you can have a extra piece of pie if you would like"

"i am good im so full" jackie said rubbing her stomach.

"thank you for this" she said hugging my mom.

"ofc your my daughter now. but just wait until breakfast time" my mom said smirking.

"lol thank you mommy" i said as she kissed my forehead.

we walked up to my old bedroom and showered before getting into bed.

"i love your mom" jackie mumbled.

"im so glad baby. i told you she would love you" i said as she rubbed my neck lightly.

"she cooked so good i gotta clock out early" she mumbled making me giggle.

"i love you" i whispered.

"i love you more baby".

i felt her drift off to sleep. i'm so glad her and my mom get along so well. it's all i wanted and im sure my sister would be proud as well.
