April to October. Six months, and somehow it felt like both everything and nothing changed.
Since FESTA, things had been... different.
Not bad, just heavier.
They'd all known the moment was coming.
The quiet conversations about enlistment had turned into real dates on calendars.
The unspoken tension had turned into teary confessions over barbecue and soju. And yet, even with all the uncertainty, life had moved forward.
Hobi released his solo album, Jack in the Box, and tore up the stage at Lollapalooza.
Minhee still remembered screaming her lungs out in the Chicago crowd, pride swelling in her chest as he owned every inch of that stage.
Jin had been quieter lately. Namjoon dove into art museums and late-night lives. Jimin and Taehyung bounced between studios and flights, and Jungkook?
Jungkook stayed by her side, steady as ever. They found peace in the chaos — movie nights, noodle dates, lazy mornings wrapped in each other's arms.
But now it was October.
They were headed to Busan for what might be one of their last performances as seven for a while.
A "Yet To Come" concert... and no one missed the double meaning.
Minhee glanced out the window of the van, watching the city lights of Busan blur past.
They had arrived five days before the concert. Time for rehearsals, sound checks, and pre-show prep. But after today's rehearsal wrapped, the weight of it all began to settle in her chest.
Busan wasn't just another stop. It was Jungkook's home.
His city.
His ocean breeze.
She could feel his energy shift the moment they arrived, his excitement bubbling underneath his usual calmness like he was both the golden maknae and the boy who grew up here all at once.
She found herself sneaking glances at him during practice. The way he poured himself into every note, every step, like he had something to prove. Not to anyone else, but to himself. To his family. To Busan.
"Don't stare too hard, Minhee-ah," Taehyung teased during a break, leaning against his mic stand with that sly grin
"You'll make him nervous."
She smacked his arm lightly, rolling her eyes, but her cheeks betrayed her with warmth.
By the night of the concert, Busan was alive.
The stadium glowed with ARMY bombs before the first note even played, the ocean of light stretching as far as Minhee could see. The air buzzed with chants, with laughter, with the kind of energy that only came when millions of voices united as one.
Minhee adjusted her in-ear, trying to calm her own pounding heart as the intro video faded.
And then... the roar.
The seven of them ran onto the stage together, the sound swallowing her whole. Fireworks burst, lights blazed, and for a moment, the heaviness of the last few months melted into pure joy.
Halfway through the show, ARMY chants suddenly shifted. It wasn't the usual "BTS! BTS!" Instead, it was the melodic, unmistakable sound of Happy Birthday.
Her eyes widened as the voices carried through the stadium, tens of thousands of fans singing in unison. It was currently October 14th, Jimin's birthday was yesterday, and Minhee's was two days before that.
