The hum of the plane filled the space in a steady rhythm.
Minhee sat by the window, hoodie pulled loosely over her head, the armrest pressed gently against her elbow. Outside, there was nothing to properly look at anymore, just layers of clouds stretching endlessly.
For a long time, she didn't move.
Then as if remembering something, she reached for the small camera sitting in her bag.
She turned it on.
The red light blinked once, then steadied.
Minhee blinked back at it, slightly caught off guard by her own reflection on the screen.
"...Are you recording?" she asked quietly, even though she already knew the answer
A soft laugh left her before she could stop it.
"Okay. Hiii."
"Hi armies-"
She shifted a little in her seat, adjusting the camera so it wasn't just pointed at the ceiling or her chin. It wobbled for a second before she steadied it with both hands.
"I'm on the plane right now," she said with her voice lower than usual, like she didn't want to disturb the people around her
Her eyes flicked briefly toward the aisle, then back.
"I'm going to Toronto for my solo concert."
She paused, as if letting the sentence fully settle even for herself.
"That sounds... really weird to say out loud."
A small smile tugged at her mouth, but it didn't fully stay.
Behind it, there was something more thoughtful. Something heavier she didn't name.
The camera caught it anyway.
She leaned her head back slightly against the seat.
"I thought I'd feel more excited at this point," she admitted after a moment
"But i'm really nervous-"
"I keep thinking about everything at once," she continued
"Like... what if I forget something? What if I mess up a part? What if I stand there and just blank?"
She let out a small breath through her nose, almost amused at herself for saying it out loud.
"With the others on stage with me, it makes it easier-"
Then she shook her head once.
"Toronto," she repeated, like she was testing the word
