chapter 8

Alex was anxiously pacing back and forth."She must like me.

She has to like me, right?"

The outfit should have been better.
I should have looked for better fabric.
But the shopkeeper said this was the best fabric available.

I think he tricked me.
I looked in the mirror, but I didn’t feel handsome.
As he was pacing back and forth, he bumped into something.
When he looked, it was Mia.
With a nervous smile, he said, "You look beautiful."

Hearing this, Mia shyly smiled back.

She gestured to show that he looked handsome too.
Realizing this, Alex understood.
He had learned sign language from Emily.
When Mia saw that he understood her sign language, she looked at him in surprise.
He said, "Where’s your friend? She’s the one who taught me."

Hearing this, it seemed that admiration and love for him started to bloom in Mia’s heart.
She felt happy that he had learned sign language for her.
Not knowing what to say next, Alex scratched his head.
Gathering all his courage, he asked,
"Do you like me?"
"You don’t have to answer right away.

Take your time and think about it."
Hearing this, Mia walked closer, held his hand, and show sign language.

"I like you too, Alex."

Hearing this, Alex hugged her tightly.
In his strong embrace, she struggled to breathe,
but she didn’t say anything.
She felt that she could trust him to take care of her.
Alex said, "Mia."
She smiled slightly and nodded.
"Once you give your consent, I’ll tell my family about us.
I’ll talk to your family, your brother, and my parents about this. You don’t mind, do you?"
Mia gestured that she didn’t mind.
Alex then asked, "Isn’t your birthday next month?"
Mia nodded, and they both headed towards the ceremony with a smile.

The world was not moving around him, but he couldn’t understand what was happening around . Everything felt empty. After all these years of thinking he had no mate , today she stood right before him. He didn’t know what to do. Without looking at nakshtra face, he continued to smile at the kings and princes who were offering their congratulations.

Inside, his wolf was leaping with joy, ecstatic that he had finally found his mate after waiting for so long. Despite hearing all this, he stood there, unsure of what to do. Suddenly, his sister Mia came forward, took Rohan hand, and said something. At the same time, a while Alex shared the news about mia to  his father and  mother.

Rogan took Mia’s hand and asked, “Are you happy?” Mia smiled and nodded.
Alex, along with Alfred , Madonna, and Serena, stood nearby, and alfred added, “I am blessed, always seeing four children with me, and that’s why I moon good matched them together.”
Hearing this, Rogan looked at Serena’s face and she smiled nervously.

When mate was mentioned, Rogan recalled earlier looking at Nakshatra, but now she was gone. He had no idea where she went. He longed to see her again, but it wasn’t possible. That’s when  Alfred suggested, “On the same day as Rogan's wedding, let’s also arrange Alex’s  and mia wedding."

After the coronation ceremony, Nakshatra quickly returned home. Emily noticed Nakshatra's unease and decided they should head back. When they got home, Nakshatra told her mother, "I'm going to the shelter today. I don’t feel good. Something just doesn’t feel right."

Hearing this, Emily said, "Then I’ll come with you." But Nakshatra declined, saying there was no need, and walked away.

Emily understood that something was troubling Nakshatra deeply. However, Nakshatra didn’t go to the shelter. Instead, she went to the riverbank near a waterfall, even though it was a little into the forest. With courage, she ventured there, even though it was her first time going at night. She believed that only there, she be able to think clearly.
