4 YEARS LATER...
Rushed footsteps could be heard in the silent hallways, as a figure emerged from the kitchen entrance, sliding to a stop before an excited voice exclaimed.
"Mama, Papa!" the Couple who were in the kitchen talking, while washing dishes looked up, startled at the sudden voice. They both shared a surprised glance before looking back at him with curious gazes.
"What is it, bub? You look so happy and excited," Rehan, now eleven years old boy, beamed at his Parents before looking around.
"Where are Sameer, Avinash and Ivaan bhai?" he asked looking around, but before they could reply a voice interrupted with "We are here!"
"Bhai, come on here fast." seeing that he had their undivided attention, he took out something from his little backpack before showing it to them proudly. "We won the Tournament! And this Trophy is of the Man of the Match." he exclaimed, smiling big when he was showered with praises and engulfed with big hugs.
"We are so, so proud of you, Son." his Mom said, as she hugged him softly, kissed the top of his head and backed away giving him a warm smile, making him smile back at her. "Well done, little bro! We're so proud of u." Sameer said, while Avinash and Ivaan nodded in agreement. "Great job, son!" his Dad said as he proudly patted Rehan's back.
That day, they celebrated at home. Dinner was all Rehan's favorite, as that was his first Victory after joining his School Coach's Private Academy. What had happened was, looking at how consistently well he was performing in School club, the Coach, Mr. Ajay Joshi, called him into their Gym Area.
FLASHBACK...
Rehan's P.O.V.Like always I, with my other teammates were practicing for our upcoming Inter-School Competition. I was currently batting, Anshul, was bowling, as this was his last bowl for the over.. He ran but just when he was about to throw the ball, one of my classmates rushed up to where we were and slid to a stop in front of me. Bending down, he panted heavily.
"Hey Adit, you good dude? What is it?" I asked. After a few minutes he replied when his breathing got stable.
"Rehan, Mr. Joshi is asking you to meet him in the Gym Area. He said it's urgent." he said, I looked at the others in confusion, but they all just shrugged with the Captain gesturing me to go ahead. I nodded and started walking towards the Gym Area.
I wonder what's so urgent that he called me instead of the Captain? Anyway I just shrugged, before knocking on the door, entering in when I heard a muffled "Come in."
"You wanted to see me, Coach?" I asked as he gestured me to take a seat beside him and I did.
"Let's get straight to the point. I watched all your Performances, and it's impressive. So I would like you to join my Academy. This academy will provide you with the necessary trainings, competitive tournaments and eventually provide you a path to greatness."
And I felt overwhelmed with excitement that I couldn't help but agree without hesitation. That was the turning point of my life.
END OF THE FLASHBACK..
