I was not sure if I should be excited or afraid about what had just happened. I could sense that Jason also felt the same.

What was even more disturbing than the invasion of the dreamworld into our so-called real life, was the fact that we had no idea when the dream had started or how we ended up in one bed.

Jason uttered the obvious question then, "Do you think we should consult Una and Eldion about it?"

"Of course, if there is anybody who could have answers, then one of them."

We thought we could leave it at that until the night, but we were already about to be disabused.

I got up and went downstairs into the kitchen to make some breakfast. But as soon as I was where I thought I should be, I suddenly found myself in the kitchen of my mother.

She was actually there. She smiled at me. She came very close. That was when I recognized a strange smell, like that of an old and moldy basement. Then I heard her voice in my ear, whispering, "Do you fuck him, you little cunt?"

I turned around and there it was. She held a knife in her hand and did not hesitate to bring it down on me. Fortunately I could duck down, but still she cut me deeply in my hand. It was bleeding profusely.

She was in a total frenzy. I did not have enough power to fend her off. She stabbed me at least five times into my chest. The pain was almost unbearable, until I began to lose my consciousness.

Next I awoke with a start, Jason looking very confused and worried.

"What happened?"

"You just fell asleep from one moment to the next and then something strange must have happened in your dream, so I tried to wake you up."

"Jason, we are losing control", I said while a rush of goosebumps made me shiver. "And the worst part of it is that we do not know that we are dreaming, or when we even fall asleep."

Something dawned on him, until he looked at me with a very stern face, asking, "Were you killed again?
