JEWEL chapter six

"Sea!" Belly called out, barging into the girls room with Taylor right behind her. Serena put down the book she was reading. "What's up?" She asked the two.
"Come to the beach with us?" Belly asked, looking at the random stuff on the girls dresser. "I can't." Serena muttered apologetically.
"What why?" Taylor groaned, flopping on the girl's bed. Serena quickly moved her foot before the girl's head landed on it.
"Sorry, I gotta finish setting up some stuff for Belly's present." Serena reminded. "I can't wait any longer; I want to know what it is." Belly groaned, joining Taylor on the bed.
"It's a surprise though." Serena pouted. "Go on to the beach shoo. Youll get your present tonight." Serena smiled, shooing them away.

"Serena! Get the door, please!" She heard her mom shout. She quickly rushed down stairs, opening their front door.
"Cammie! I didn't know you were coming." Serena said, pulling him into a hug. "Yeah, uh, Belly invited me." He smiled, hugging the shorter girl.
"Come on in." Serena urged. She led him into the dining room. "Here you go, kind sir." Serena spoke with a horrible accent, pulling out a chair by Belly for him.
"Why thank you, ma'am." Cam joked back, attempting her accent. Once he was settled, Serena walked over to her seat in between Jeremiah and Taylor and sat down.
"Here." Taylor spoke, handing the older girl her flower crown. "Thanks." Serena muttered, sliding the crown over her head.
They all sat at the table, waiting for Susannah to bring out the food. Everyone was in their own conversations. Serena just sat awkwardly by Taylor, waiting for the other girl to save something.
Serena started playing with her napkin when Taylor spoke up. "So what did you get, Belly?" she asked. "Those heels she's been talking about nonstop, some jewelry, and her favorite chocolate all the way from France." Serena smiled, excited to see the girl's reaction to her gift.
"Sounds expensive." Taylor said, looking at the older girl. "Nothing could ever be too expensive for our Belly." Serena joked. "Yeah, I guess so." Taylor chuckled. "That's a good gift," she added.
"Thanks Jewel." Serena thanked. "Jewel?" the younger girl asked. "Yeah, Jewel, your new nickname you know since you can never get mine right." Serena laughed.
Taylor rolled her eyes. "It's nice, I like it," she added with a genuine smile and a rosy tint to her cheeks.
Susannah came out of the kitchen holding plates full of food. "I hope everyone is hungry." She smiled. Serena was already eyeing down that lobster.
Once they all settled down and got their food, Jeremiah started talking.
"So Cam, can I call you Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah asked him a jealous tint in his tone.
Serena eyed down both the boys. "Yeah, man, that's funny. Feel free." Cam spoke awkwardly.
Laurel offered Cam some food, letting him know there was no meat in it. He thanked her taking the plate.
"Why don't you eat meat, Cam Cameron?" Jeremiah interrogated. "Uh, the meat industry is like the number one contributor to global warming." Cam informed.
"And uh, I just like animals," he smiled. "Just don't come for my leather jacket." Taylor joked. "I'm pretty sure you mean pleather." Steven commented.
That got a chuckle out of Serena. Taylor gave her a pout in return, then flipped of Steven.
"You know, uh, actually Belly eats meat. So you let her kiss you with those lips?" Jeremiah continued. Belly told everyone to stop, obviously embarrassed.
"No, uh, I don't mind, um, in fact." Cam said, leaning over and giving Belly a kiss on the lips.
Jeremiah was about to continue, but Serena put a hand on his shoulder, a signal, to get him to stop.
She looked down the table to see Conrad's reaction. He was just looking down at the table spaced out.
"I just don't understand how someone would want to kiss someone who fully shat in the bathtub." Steven jabbed.
"I was like two years old." Belly deafened. "Two more like six!" Steven joked, laughing with Jeremiah.
Serena was about to speak up, but before she could, Taylor started speaking. "I remember when I was here one summer and you dared him to pee in the fire place, and you stunk up the entire house for days." Taylor recalled. Everyone around the table laughed.
"We were drunk." Steven defended. "Yeah, off half a beer." Serena chuckled, sharing a satisfactory smile with Taylor.
Belly said she wanted to go to Nicole's party, so the girls hurried up stairs after dinner to get ready.
