It was the fourth of July, one of Serena's favorite holidays. But she couldn't care enough when Taylor was the only thing on her mind.

What did she mean when she said she didn't regret it? Why did she kiss Steven after?

Those thoughts plagued Serena's mind as she laid in her bed staring at the ceiling. Taylor had already left when Serena had woke up that morning.

Serena had already missed the girl. Her mind had flipped; it's like that kiss put a curse on her.

Her thoughts got interrupted when Belly stormed into her room. She looked up at the girl as she began speaking, "My mom invited my dad and his new girlfriend to stay here! And the worst part is they are going to be in the room next to mine." Belly groaned, pacing back and forth in front of the girl's bed.

Serena just groaned, throwing her head back against her pillow; it was too early for this. "I'm sure it will be fine, and if not, then you can always come stay in my room." Serena sighed, getting out of bed and stretching.

"Okay." Belly sighed. "Hurry up and get ready and meet us downstairs for breakfast." Serena nodded her head, shooing the girl out of her room.

Once the curly-haired girl was done getting ready for the day, she walked downstairs to the kitchen, seeing Belly and Jeremiah eating cereal together.

She walked over and sat down and began pouring herself some. Belly and Jeremiah were in some conversation about the debbell. Serena just couldn't stay focused; she wanted no need to see Taylor again.

Once Serena was done eating, she passed her bowl of milk towards Jeremiah, knowing he'd want it; he just gave her a grateful smile in return.

Conrad came in, asking Jeremiah something about lighter fluid. Serena couldn't care enough to pay attention. She pulled out her phone, hovering over Taylor's contact, debating if she should text the girl or not.

"Serena?" Susannah called out, walking in. Serena looked up at the sound of her name. "We are doing your portrait next." Susannah smiled at her daughter. Serena nodded her head with a smile.

"Oh Belly, if you don't hurry up and ask Cam to the ball, you should have Steven take you." Susannah commented. "Ew no way." Belly said Steven agreed with her, mentioning he was already going with Shayla.

Laurel came in, asking Steven about the girl. "Oh, who are you going to go with, Sea?" Jeremiah asked. "Oh um." Serena stuttered out. That was the last thing on her mind. "I don't know i'll find someone. I haven't really thought about it." She said dazed.

Her mom giving her an I know something is on your mind look. Serena just looked down guilty. "Belly, I need you to go make up the guest bed for your dad and Victoria." Laurel commented. Belly just groaned and got up.

"Oh, speaking of dad's, yours called, he's closing a deal, so he can't make it." Susannah informed her two children at the breakfast table. Jeremiah frowned at the information. Serena didn't really care; at the end of the day, she was a mamas girl.

"Did you say dad's not coming?" Conrad asked, walking into the room. "Mhm." Susannah nodded her head. Conrad just smiled. Serena giving him a look. "What are you smiling over there for?" Jeremiah asked Conrad with a quizzical look in his eye.

"No reason." Conrad shrugged, obviously lying. Serena knew why Conrad hadn't had a good relationship with their dad after he found out about his cheating. Serena didn't really either, but she tried not to show it.
