"You can be happy. With me. Just give me a chance. I promise I won't leave you or reject you if that's what you are afraid of," Luke told me gently.

"I've been hurt too many times." I looked down at the dirt. "I won't risk it again. My father-I just can't."

"I swear, if anyone hurt you I will kill them," Luke growled.

"It's over," I told him harshly.

I didn't mean to. I was just angry when it came to this subject. I just really wanted to be left alone.

"Come on. We can talk in my office. We'll go to the pack house," Luke told me, nonchalantly.

I was very scared. I had no clue what to expect. I could get there and the pack attack me. I could see his mother or father and they banish me. I could meet someone from the past.

I was really nervous. If I ran though, Luke would catch me for sure.

I walked slowly behind Luke. I left a little distance between us.

When we started to get closer, I could smell many things. Wet dog. Perfume. Baby. Men. Women. Werewolves. And......enemy. Two.

One was a vampire. I had nothing against vamps. This particular one had used me. He had treated me horribly. At first he was nice. But, as they say, before the storm comes the calm.

The other was a low life. I didn't care much about him. But the vamp had it coming.

As we walked up to a huge clearing in the woods, I saw a huge house. It was at least four stories. There were two wrap around balconies, one one story of the ground, the other at the top. It was all wooden and very beautiful.
