I pushed away and looked stunned at my attacker. That's right. I called him my attacker. Take that you-you-I don't know what to call him.

'Sexy. Mine. Mate,' my wolf whispered.

"No. No, this can't be happening. I can't have two," I mumbled.

"Two what sweet thing?" My attacker questioned.

"You. I can't have two of you!"

About that time Luke came running out of nowhere. He slammed me against his chest and whispered in my ear.

"Don't ever run from me again. Do you understand?" Luke asked. "Thank you, Owen, for catching my little mate. You are dismissed now," Luke growled on.

"YOUR MATE?" Owen didn't seem to happy with this.

"Um, well, maybe I should run boys," I yelled as I started running.

Two mates?! That's insane right? Impossible? I'm dreaming. No I'm having a nightmare. And it just began.
'Would you quit and run a little faster?!? My wolf growled.
'I'm trying.'

I ran through the forest, dodging trees and logs. I jumped over creeks. I came to a clearing and saw a beautiful doe with her baby. I couldn't stop and ran right into the doe. She kicked me in the head and I growled. She took off like a bullet and I headed in the other direction.

I felt bad because the little baby didn't know where to head. She stood looking for her mother. She tried to run but she slipped a fell. She must have been only a day old.

I quickly turned back and went toward the baby slowly. She was scared but I calmed her. I pushed he gentle toward a cave. I wanted her to stay safe but I needed to run. I hid her then continued to run.

I could tell Luke was right behind me. I pushed my self faster and jumped over a fallen log. Luke howled in pain that I was running from. And believe me when I say it hurt me too. Bad.
I started pulling away from Luke when a grayish wolf jumped in front of me. I barreled into him and sparks flew. I knew instantly it was my second mate. Owen.

Just thinking his name sent my wolf over the edge. I struggled to get a hold on her.

I wiggled my way out from under him and ran faster. I heard a sizzling and a mournful howl soon followed it. I had crossed the pack border. I was in another territory.

I heard vicious growling. I looked behind me to see Luke and Owen standing together at the border line. They were growling....at me?! No way.
I turned back around and saw two black wolves. They were both the same height but one caught my eye. He had a long slash across his eye and around the back of his head. The wolves growled back at me. I swallowed but didn't back down.

The scarred one got into a fighting position and the other circled me. They were sizing me up. I stood my ground and let out a merciless growl.

Just then a wolf with a beautiful brown and gold coat walked out of the woods. I knew instantly who it was and growled with only a hint of fear laced into the menacing sound.

My father was here. And he wasn't alone. Theses two boys were his sons. My brothers. And the stunning black wolves twins.

I hated them. I hated them all. They stood tall and proud. They stood together. They stood un defending my only escape. My mates' territory.
I started backing up quickly but my father snapped at me. I ran backwards until I heard a sizzle and was attacked from behind.

I whipped around to see Owen growling in his wolf form while Luke was on top of me protectingly.
My father crossed the border and walked toward us in a slow but evil walk. He growled and my brothers cocked their heads to the side. They didn't understand what was going on.
I squirmed out from under Luke and ran toward the cave where I left the baby deer. I found that once I got there she was still sitting in a weak ball awaiting her mother. I nuzzled her and pushed her. She took that as her que that I was going to be her new mommy. I started trotting into an unclaimed territory and the deer followed. I decided to name her Mimi.
She was a sweet thing. She probably needed milk but I couldn't provide that. I checked everything to get her to eat. Nothing worked.

I found a beautiful little pond and finally got her to drink some water.
We fell asleep curled up together. I awoke an hour later to someone poking my shoulder. I felt sparks and looked into Owen's eyes.

"Im sorry. I followed you but I want to help. I-I know what it's like to have people hate you all your life and you most certainly don't deserve that. My mother lost her mate when she was only 23. I was about 2 years old. She mourned my father horribly an thought it was my fault. She hated me and soon beat me until I left. So please just let me help," Owen said with pain evident in his eyes. A silent tear slipped from his eyes.

I noticed the tear shined with a silver color. I stood and hugged him. He actually wanted to help. I can't believe it. Someone actually cared.

The most important thing running through my mind was that I had a mate by my side and a father to destroy. A future to decide and a baby to care for. I had a lot on my plate but I was determined. My father will NOT ruin my life even if I die trying to stop him. It was my turn to be the strong one. The one in power.
