Chapter 14

Lynne's P.O.V.

I slowly came around again waking to the bright white light. I was expecting great pain but I actually felt nice. I say up and my back seemed perfect. No pain. No gain though either.

I looked around noticing I was alone in the room but still had my own clothes on and this wasn't anything like a hospital.

It registered in my brain that I wasn't in a hospital. I was at the pack house. Only to confirm my suspicions the pack doctor, Lewis walked in. He was a great guy.

"Well well princess Lynne decides to finally wake up. Welcome back to the real world. How was your sleep? Any good? How are you feeling? Back hurt?" Lewis asked politely.

"No no," I reassured. "Everything is fine. Where's Owen? And can I leave soon?"

Lewis just looked down. That wasn't like him normally he keeps no secrets.

"Lewis?" I asked.

"I better let Alpha Luke talk to you about this one. I'm so sorry Luna Lynne," Lewis bowed his head and walked out.

Lewis' figure was replaced by a much larger muscled one. The musky woodsy smell hit the air. I loved it yet dreaded it.

Luke gulped and gave me a small smile. "Hey little Luna. You feeling ok?"

"Yeah," I responded.

"Good good. We need to talk," he whispered as he sat on the edge of the bed.

I looked up at him blinking and mumbling, "About?"

"I don't wanna lose you again," he continued to whisper as he took my hands. "I was lost without you. Your my mate. My soulmate Lynne, I-I need you. Please baby please don't leave me again. Stay with me I can be everything you want I can change I promise."

I wiped his tears away and hugged him tightly. "I know. I know. I'm just so scared."

He whispered into my hair, "Thank you love. I will protect you. You don't have to be scared forever. I won't let anyone touch you. I....I love you Lynne."

I gulped and hugged him tighter. "I love you too Luke."
