Lone She-Wolf

Chapter 5

I looked at Luke as if he had lost his mind. If the vamp was being held prisoner than why wasn't he locked up?

"If he is being held prisoner then why isn't he locked in a cell or heavily guarded? I know he's dangerous. I experienced it myself," I told Luke in a matter of fact tone.

"He is dangerous but his life would be hell if he tried to escape," Luke explained.

"He could take down this whole pack if you aren't careful. I have seen his ways. He drags you in. Then when you think u can trust yourself with him, he lets you see what a mistake you have made. And he takes EVERYTHING from you. Everything," I whispered.

Luke looked concerned, yet he seemed to have an inner battle with himself on wether to believe me or not.

"Alpha Luke. Listen, she's nuts. She went mental when she was only ten years old. Ran from her pack. Told everyone her sweet old man was hittin on her poor self," Ravi spoke up.

"That is not true," I told like. I wasn't yelling but I was close.

"I know one thing that is true. You want revenge on me. I don't know what for. I just tried to help you. See where it got me, Alpha?" Ravi didn't know when to stop.

"Both of you quit! I will not put up with it," Luke told us in a semi-Alpha voice.

I felt hands roughly grab the back of my shirt. I tried to pull away. The hands pulled hard and a cold hard object touched my neck. At first I thought it was someone's ring on there finger but I reasoned that it was much bigger than a ring.

It was a dagger.

"LET HER GO!" Luke yelled in his Alpha voice.

"Don't move," Ravi yelled. "I will kill her right here, right now. Now listen. I want one thing and one thing only. To get revenge on this pretty little lady of yours. But I don't want to kill her. I want her to suffer. I can't do that here so I ask for escape only for now. Either I kill her or you allow me to escape. Chose."

"I will not allow you to kill my mate. I just found her and I will not allow her to die now or ever as long as I shall live," Luke growled out.

"Fine. Be that way. Only hurts your mate not me," I heard Ravi say before I felt pain.

I felt a cold and metallic slide over my throat as the knife sliced through the skin and drew out blood. The searing pain was unbearable. It must of had some contact with Wolfsbane.

I screamed silently before dropping to the floor. I heard footsteps and my eyes narrowed into the darkness. I went cold moments later.

My last thoughts were this. I did not know if I would live. If I did I would be protecting myself heavily. Or I could have been taken by Ravi. Maybe Ravi had killed Luke.

I realized I was worried. I didn't want to be mate less but I also wasn't ready for a mate. I didn't want like to die. And I vowed that if I lived Luke would know everything. And then I would try to work things out with him. But mostly I would make it up to him.
