A Triumphant Victory

I tell the ladies to go along with me when I say that Anastasia and I fell in love at first sight in Las Vegas and got married. We will leave it at that. It will be far easier than explaining the true story on how we have no clue about getting married. I at least know Kate can play this role well. Anastasia is a wild card but something tells me she is one tough cookie who will not be cornered. Both are in agreement on how to handle this family dinner.

Grace
Mia beats me to the door and Carrick follows me and then Elliott and his dingbat female dinner companion. My mom insisted on being here to meet her granddaughter in law. Dad is being quiet as usual and he likes to watch how people react to mom's outspokenness. Mia broke the news to them after I told her not to. She runs to the front door and opens it up to see Anastasia and Kate standing in front of Christian and Christian has his hand on Anastasia's back.

Mia
I know Kate, but Anastasia is someone that I have never met or heard of before now. I check her out and she reminds me of Minnie Mouse in her height and size. I introduce myself and mom introduces the rest of the family while I am standing in the way of allowing them to come inside. Mom pulls me back out of the doorway and leads all of them inside.

Carrick
Definitely Christian's usual type, but there are a lot of unanswered questions about the marriage. I am going to get the answers no matter what. I elbow Elliott as he is ignoring his date Shelby Stinson a look alike for Kate who is standing in the doorway. My mother in law and father in law finally go to sit at the dinner table. Of course at the head of the table. I can't believe they started this and they still take the head of the table in my house. I would rather have a sharp stick in the eye than to argue with those two. Both were very talented attorneys and built a huge firm that they sold when they retired. I am no match for them even now. Christian is my target along with his so called wife. She definitely has no idea how to dress, her clothing looks like thrift store clothing. Kate however knows how to dress. I think gold digger but I would think she would have more expensive clothing on. Maybe she is pulling the wool over our eyes by not wearing expensive clothing.

Maddie
I am watching and I think that Anastasia looks quite beautiful and she seems calm with Mia glaring at her. Grace finally gets them through the door as Theo and I go sit at the dining room table. Theo is laughing about Mia and her glaring at Anastasia.

Theo
I don't think the glaring affected Anastasia and I think it made Mia want to dig deeper and put her on the hot seat. Something tells me she has already been through enough battles in her life and Mia is just another battle to fight and win. Unlike Mia I can tell when someone has the ability to fight the good fight and Mia might use her intimidation skills but when cornered she is defenseless.

Shelby
I can't stand Kate because we look very much alike. Sadly she has no clue who I am to her. She looks like our father Eamon. I see him when he visits mom and pays her bills and child support to mom. I follow Elliott's grandparents into the dining room. I sit down in the middle of the table and hope that Elliott sits down beside me. He walks in and sits down by me. Mia sits on the other side of him. It is rather tense until everyone is seated and Christian is sitting across from me and Kate is on one side of him and his wife is on the other side. I think her name is Anastasia.

Grace
I sit next to Mia and Carrick sits next to Kate. My parents start chatting about different things and then the food. We pass the food around the table and start discussing everything but the elephant in the room. Suddenly Anastasia actually starts talking about her marriage to Christian. Everyone is shocked and even Christian can't believe she took the lead on all this nonsense.

Anastasia
The tension was getting to me so I jump in and tell them that the signatures on the marriage certificate are legitimate and the wedding photos look exactly like us so it's pretty ,urn true that we were married in Las Vegas. I tell them that we had no idea who each other was when we married. I had no idea who the Grey family was until he came to find me in Seattle. I show them our wedding bands. That's when Carrick insists on me signing a document stating that I will agree to get our marriage annulled and I said well I would love to but neither of us don't know if we consummated our marriage because we were tipsy. That's when his parents went in for the kill and I shot back at them telling them I will not consent to an OB/GYN examination. I had already had a thorough examination during my Pap smear. You want to hear the gory details keep talking and you will hear them. His grandmother is sitting there laughing and tells her husband if Christian doesn't stay married to me they will adopt me. His grandfather agree and told Carrick that I didn't appear to be a gold digger.

Theo
I look at the table and the three young ladies seem to not be wearing a lot of jewelry or over made up faces. Mia is the only one that I suspect is a gold digger and it's her brother's and parents money she is living off of. I make a point of saying that and Mia's face turns blood red and I know it's the truth. I look at Mia and tell her to earn her keep from now on or we will stop her trust fund payments.

I can't believe my own grandparents called me a gold digger.
