7. A Symbol

Julietta POV

Slowly opening my eyes I'm aware of a gentle breeze floating over me from the open bedroom window and fingertips gliding feather light over the bare skin of my arm causing me to smile as I remember where I am and who I'm with.

I barely have time to react before something soft and warm presses against the back of shoulder and then against my neck.

"Good morning nugget" he whispers softly as he nuzzles further into my neck

"Mmmm good morning cookie" I smile "can I wake up like this every morning because I like this very much"

"If it was up to me we would" he says "and one day it will be possible, it will just take some time"

I turn to face him and he keeps his arm around me. As he smiles down at me I take his face in my hands and look deep into his warm chocolate brown eyes wondering how I ever lived so long without him.

"Cookie I............"

"So what would you like to do today nugget" he asks cutting me off "we could explore the area, swim in the sea, stay right here in bed" he says with a mischievous smile "what do you choose?"

"I choose swimming in the sea" I smile "that way we get some fresh air and I get to stay close to you"

"Sounds good to me" he smiles "you know a ways down the beach they do oyster diving trips. What to give that a go? You might even find a pearl"

"Sure why not" I say "I just thought......since my name is Julietta does that make you my romeo?" I ask biting my lip

"I will be anything you want me to be" he says pecking my lip "you mean a lot to me nugget you always have"

With that he gets up off the bed and heads for the bathroom. I watch him leave with a smile in my face whilst secretly checking out his boxer short clad ass and what a sight it is.

Climbing out of  bed myself I pad over to my case to chose my outfit. I settle on a pastel purple bikini with a matching beach dress.

I pack up beach towels, sun lotion and other bits we will need for a day at the beach even though we could easily just come back here.

Before long we are ready to go and as we walk down the beach hand in hand my heart soars. I had waited for this for so long and it was far better than I had imagined.

We head down to the boat for the oyster trip and help each other into the diving gear we are given before we sail out. I watch as Damian follows there instructions and dives in, after a little hesitation I follow suit.

The second I'm under the water I feel his arms around me. He takes my hand and we follow the guide to where the oysters are.

I watch as Damian and the guide collect a few before trying myself but only managing to get one.

We make our way back up the boat but just before we break the surface Damian pulls me to him, removes my mask and pulls me in for an underwater kiss.

Back on board I open my oyster but find nothing but meat. Disappointed I look over to Damian.

"Did you find anything" I ask

"No nugget, but we can always try again another day" he says kissing my forehead "you find us a good spot on the beach I just need to go back to the house for something"

"Alright but don't be long" I smile "I'll miss you too much"

"Not as much as I will miss you" he smiles kissing me before taking off towards the house.

I find a nice shaded spot and lay out our towels. I take a book from my bag and lay down to read for a while as I wait for him.

A couple of chapters in and I realise he has been quite some time and I'm about to give up and go look for him when I see him walking towards me.

He lays down beside me and pulls me close to him before kissing me deeply, moving my back until I'm laid on my towel. My fingers tangle in his wet hair as I return the kiss.

Too soon his lips leave mine but then they begin to travel down my neck as his hand caresses my breast just like the night before.

"D......Damian" I breathe out as his lips move to my collar bone and then down to the valley of my breasts.

I feel the fabric of my bikini top start to shift and I place my hand on his "woah, woah slow down" I say breathless "sorry I just wasn't expecting that"

"It's ok, I'm sorry I got carried away" he says "I'd just missed you, daft I know I wasn't far away from you but it felt like you were miles away from me and I missed having you close"

"Are you ok cookie?" I ask my brow furrowed as I cup his cheek

"Yeah I'm fine nugget" he says kissing the tip of my nose "here this is for you he says taking a box out of his pocket.

As I open it, it reveals a silver chain with a pendant containing a single peach coloured pearl in the centre.

"Oh......Damian it beautiful but you didn't have to buy me a pearl" I say running my fingers over it

"I did" he smiles "I went oyster diving yesterday and found it. When I found out the meaning for pearls this colour I immediately took it to a jewellers and had it made into a necklace for you. This wasn't exactly the plan, I'd hoped I'd find one today and the suprise you with this tomorrow"

"It's perfect thank you" I say kissing him lovingly "what is the meaning?"

"Let's just say it's a symbol for us and what I think we have" he smiles "but the rest is my secret" he chuckles
