Julietta POV
Putting my bags down in my new hotel room i felt a sense of relief. I was now close to my brother and to Damian and I felt so much happier. I had texted Damian and Phil as soon as I landed to let them know I was here.
A car picked me up at the airport and brought me here. Phil had replied to say he had made a reservation for lunch but Damian had yet to respond.
I decided that now is a good time to take in my view but just as I reach the window my phone buzzes in my pocket.
Give me your room number, leave the door unlocked and I will come to you. D xxx
Smiling I quickly write a reply and then try to contain my excitement as I return my attention to the view. My room looked out on to the beach which seemed to stretch for miles and the clear blue waters of the ocean.
Finally after what seems like forever I here the door of my room open. I turn just in time to see Damian walk in with a beautiful smile on his face.
With an excited shriek I run to him and jump straight into his arms. He spins me around as our lips meet. When our lips finally part I wrap my legs and arms around him as I hold him tightly.
"It's nice to have some one be this happy to see me" he chuckles "you are definitely my favourite hello"
"I told you I'd missed you" I smile as I move back from him a little "I've missed everything about you, I couldn't wait to get here and see you"
"Ditto" he smiles rubbing his nose against mine "I'm so glad I have you back in my arms. So what's the plan?"
"Phil has made a reservation for lunch so we will join him" I say as he lowers me down "we are going to talk like adults and make it clear that we are going to be together regardless of how he feels about it"
"And you're absolutely sure about this?" He asks "because it's ok if you want to change your mind"
"When it comes to you cookie I've always been sure" I smile "you are my choice, you make me happy and this is what I want. I love you and he is just going to have to accept that"
"I love you" he smiles "so........you ready to make this official?" He asks and I nod.
Hand in hand we make our way to the hotel restaurant Phil told me to meet him at. As we approach the entrance Damian tries to let go of my hand but I grip his tighter and give him a reassuring smile.
As we approach the table Phil sees us and his smile disappears he goes to speak but I hold up my hand to stop him.
"We agreed to discuss this like adults and Damian should be a part of this discussion" I say "now let's sit and talk calmly........please"
"Alright" he says sitting back down "it's good to see you Jules I've missed you"
"I've missed you too" I smile
We all take a look at rhe menu and then order our drinks and food. All the while Phils gaze continues to move between Damian and I.
"Ok I'm going to get straight to it" I say taking a deep breath "Damian and I are together. He makes me happy and he is what I want. Now I'm not asking for your approval is just want you to accept it and let me be happy"
"Jules you know I'm just trying to look out for you" he says "of course I want you to be happy I just don't want to see you get hurt"
"And I appreciate that" I say "but you know Damian and you know how close he and I have always been. You know he will take good are of me you've always trusted him to do that and you know in your heart that he would never hurt me"
"I do know that" he says "but he also has a reputation so you can't blame me for wanting to protect you. Damian I know your a good guy but like I said you have a reputation so I have to ask...........what are your intentions with my sister?"
"If your going to do the big brother warning stuff I'm going to the bathroom" I say rolling my eyes and getting up from my seat.
Damian POV
As I watch Jules walk away I feel Phil gaze on me, waiting for me to answer. In a way I was glad she had stepped away because it gave me the chance to be completely honest with Phil.
"My intentions" I say "Phil I know we went about this the wrong way, we snuck around when we should have just talked to. I tried to stay away from her but I couldn't. You have my word that I will never hurt her, I will take very good care of her and I will spend my life making her as happy as she makes me"
"Good to know but that doesn't answer my question" he says
"Alright" I say taking a deep breath "I'm going to lay it all out on the table. Phil.........I'm in love with your sister. I love her with every fibre of my being. I think i always have. I know I have a rep but it's based on lies, yeah I've dated a couple women in the crew but I always compared them to Jules becuase at the end of the day she's always been the one I wanted and no one else came close. Like she said your approval isn't needed you just need to accept that we are together"
"You.......you love my sister?" He asks and I nod "and how does she feel about you?" He asks
"Why don't you ask her" I smile as I she comes back to the table
"Ask me what?" She asks
"Jules.........how do you feel about Damian?" Phil asks "be honest"
"Honestly.......I love him" she says smiling at me "I'm in love with him and I think I always have been"
"Alright" he sighs "but I swear you make her shed so much as one tear"
Jules excitedly jumps out of her chair and wraps her arms around Phil making him laugh.
"Thank you" I hear her whisper
"Please don't make me regret this" he says
"You have my word" I say and we shake hands
"So what made you change your mind" she asks as she sits back down
"Damian laid it all out on the table for me that's all" he smiles "look at that, all sorted in time for our food" he laughs
"What did you say to him?" She whispers
"Pretty much what you said" I say "that's all you need to know"
