The next mornin Jungkook hurried down from his room his mind racing as he searched for his father. Spotting Mr. Jeon seated at the dining table reading newspaper waiting for his breakfast he hesitated for a moment before walking over.

"Good morning Dad..!!" he greeted his voice filled with uncertainty.

Mr. Jeon smiled warmly "Good morning, son."

He sat down glancing around nervously and hesitantly. After a brief silence he asked "Dad.. where's Mom?"

"She's in the kitchen, I think" he replied turning back to reading his newspaper.

He nodded the nervous energy in his chest building up. He swallowed hard then cautiously asked "Dad… did Y/n's parents really die in a car accident?"

His father froze, his expression shifting from calm to shock in an instant. Tension filled the room as Mr. Jeon set down newspaper his gaze now fixed on his son.

"What are you talking aboutJungkook? Why are you asking this all of a sudden?" he asked his voice tightening with concern and something more.

He hesitated, leaning in closer as if to shield his words from anyone who might overhear. He whispered "Dad…
Her parents didn't die in a car accident did they?"

Mr. Jeon's face paled and his reaction confirmed his suspicions. Abruptly standing up from his chair abruptly Mr. Jeon's voice rose slightly.

"Jungkook this is none of your concern. It has nothing to do with you. Stop asking questions" he said firmly his tone clearly confirming jungkook's suspicion.

He paused rubbing his temples as if trying to calm the rising tension. After a long heavy sigh Mr. Jeon softened his expression and patted him on the shoulder.

"Let it go.. son. Don't think about it anymore hmm" he added forcing a faint smile before walking away leaving him there alone with even more questions in his mind than before.

I watched Dad hurriedly leave his tense expression lingering in my mind. Something wrong his reaction was clearly telling that somethings wrong. There's more to this.

I muttered under my breath "So Mr. and Mrs. Kang didn't die in a car accident… was it really a murder?"

The thought felt heavily as I stood up.
"Y/N." I need to find her I know she wasn't going to come at the office today. She's probably in her garden needing some space after everything that happened last night.

When I arrived I saw Jun standing nearby. " Jun. Where's Y/N?" I asked noticing his uneasy expression probably still tensed up about last night.

"I haven't seen Miss Y/n all morning. She didn't come to the garden today and I've been here since dawn" he replied.

"Where did she go?" I thought as I left to find her. As I passed by the lakeside my heart skipped a beat.

There she was on the other side, of the lake standing near the edge of the lake. What is she thinking? Panic surged through me and without another thought I ran towards her.

As she took a step closer to the water and I quickly grabbed her arm yanking her back. "What the hell? What do you think you're doing? Thinking about suicide?" The words came out shakily my voice laced with fear and frustration.

She jerked her hand from my grip her eyes blazing with anger. "I don't have any intention of dying" she snapped. "I just wanted to sit by the lake in peace. But of course someone can't let me breathe or do anything peacefully." Her glare cuttinv through me like a knife.
