AUTHOR POV~

"Jungkook, please wake up..." Y/N cried her voice breaking as she desperately tried to wake him up. She shook him again and again, but nothing seems to worked.

His stillness unconscious figure only increased her fear, and eventually exhaustion overtook her and she didn't even realize when she fell asleep with her tears staining her cheeks.

By evening around 7pm, Jungkook stirred his body aching as he groaned in pain. His head throbbed and as he tried to move then only he realized his hands and legs were tied.

Panic set in as memories of the kidnapping flashed before him. His eyes darted around the room until they landed on her, she was lying on the cold floor beside him, her hands and legs bound too.

"Y/N..." his voice came out rough, filled with urgency and worry. He slowly crawled towards her his body screaming pain with his every movement. Once he reached her, he gently shook her.

"Y/N!! wake up" he said his tone tight with worry. His heart raced as negative thoughts filled his mind did the kidnappers hurt her? His memory was hazy he can't remember most things after being knocked unconscious and as the fear clawed at his chest.

At the sound of his voice. Hee eyes fluttered open. She blinked in confusion but when she saw him awake a relief washed over her.

Tears instantly welled up in her eyes, and before he could react or register , she threw her arms around him, burying her face into his chest as sobs shook her body.

"Jungkook!" she cried her voice trembling with fear, fear of losing him. "I thought... I thought you wouldn't wake up." Her words came out as in broken sobs as she clung to him tightly her body trembling with fear and guilt.

He who was startled by her sudden hug gently wrapped his arms around her, even though his hands were tied. He could feel the weight of her emotions and it crushed him to see her like this.

"Shh... Sunshine, it's okay"

he murmured softly his hand trying to soothe her by rubbing small circles on her back.

"I'm fine. Don't worry, alright?"

But she shook her head stubbornly, her sobs increased "No... it's not okay. " she cried, her voice cracking. "It's all my fault You got hurt because of me. If I hadn't...participate in the exhibition" Her voice broke as she buried her face deeper into his chest, her guilt overwhelming her.

Jungkook's heart twisted at her words. He tightened his hold on her, his own pain momentarily forgotten. "Don't say that Y/N" he whispered his voice firm but gentle. "This isn't your fault. None of this is. I'm okay, you are okay and that's all that matters right now."

She again shook her head again still sobbing. "But... but you were unconscious for so long... I was so scared." Her words were barely audible through her tears her body still trembling as the weight of the situation pressed down on her.

He sighed softly his heart aching at her broken state. He leaned his forehead against hers trying to calm her down. "Hey! look at me" he said softly waiting until her tear-filled eyes met his. "I'm here alright? I'm not going anywhere. We're going to get out of this. Together."

She sniffled, her sobs slowly quiet down as she looked up at him searching for his doe eyes for reassurance. His calm presence helped ease some of the fear gnawing at her heart and she nodded weakly though her tears still fell silently.

"That's my girl"

he whispered with a small reassuring smile even though the pain in his body was almost unbearable. "We'll figure this out. Just stay with me okay?"
