AUTHOR POV~

As Jungkook and Soobin arrived at the mining company's office they approached the receptionist desk. The woman behind the counter smiled politely and asked, "How may I help you Sir?"

"We need to speak with your boss" Soobin said his voice firm but polite. Jungkook nodded beside him adding "Yes! It’s urgent."

The receptionist hesitated for a moment  then asked "Sir.. Do you have an appointment?" "No! We don't" Jungkook replied "but could you please tell him it’s important? We need to speak with him as soon as possible."

The receptionist seemed hesitant and unsure but after a moment of thinking she nodded. "Let me check with him." She picked up the phone made a quick call and then looked back at them.

"I'm sorry but he's currently busy. You can wait here and I'll let you know when he's available." Soobin sighed and gave Jungkook a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Let's wait for a bit. Hopefully it won't take long."

They both moved to the waiting area and sat down. Time passed slowly and just as Jungkook was starting to get restless he noticed someone stepping out of the office. His eyes narrowed as he recognized the figure immediately. He nudged Soobin.

"Hey! Soobin. Isn't that Noah?" Jungkook gestured subtly towards the man walking out of the office of the building. Soobin looked in the direction Jungkook was pointing his eyes widening in surprise. "Yeah... that's Noah. The guy who saved Y/N. What's he doing here?"

Jungkook's suspicion grew. "Isn't he supposed to live in Seoul? What's he doing at this mining company? Do you think he knows the owner?"

Soobin shook his head equally puzzled. "I have no idea but it's strange. Oh.. by the way. I forgot to tell you something." Soobin leaned in closer.

"I did a little digging into this mining company and his owner background before we came here. You won't believe what I found out. The land this company is built on is it's technically illegal." Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "Illegal? What do you mean?"

Soobin nodded before saying. "Yeah. The property originally belonged to an old man. Apparently he refused to sell it to the mining company. But week after he declined the man went missing and since he didn't have any family member the mining owner basically seized the land."

Listening to this jungkook's face darkened. "So this company's running its operations on stolen land that too illegally?"

"Pretty much" Soobin replied. " I wonder why how Noah fits into all of this but seeing him here makes me feel off."

Before they could delve further into their suspicions talks about Noah's arrival here the receptionist interrupted them.
"Gentlemen you can see the boss now. His office is on the third floor."

Jungkook and Soobin stood up nodding their thanks. They made their way to the elevator both of them deep in thought. As the elevator doors closed Soobin glanced at Jungkook. "I hope he listens to us and stops the mining in that area. Otherwise it's only going to get worse." He said with a worried tone

Jungkook hummed in agreement but his mind was still stuck on Noah's sudden appearance. Something is totally wrong.

When they arrived on the third floor they were greeted by the secretary who outside the office. "Are you Mr. Jungkook and Mr. Soobin?" she asked.

"Yes!" Jungkook replied.

"The receptionist informed me. Please follow me" the secretary said bowing slightly and gesturing towards the door. She knocked lightly and after hearing a faint "Come in" from inside she opened the door for them.
