AUTHOR POV~

Jungkook was hiding deep within the forest, his breath heavy as he leaned against a tree, trying to stay as silent as possible. The kidnappers were searching for him but he had managed to distract them long enough for Y/N to escape.

His only thought was her safety and if he could just make it out from the forest, they'd both be free. But what he didn't realize was that  the danger was still lurking in the shadows of this dark forest which was just too  closer than he thought.

As he cautiously made his way through the dense trees the sound of a gunshot tore through the air. His body froze as the bullet just passed from him, hitting the tree just inches away from his head. His eyes widened in shock and he turned around to see the one of the kidnappers smirking approaching him with a smirk on his face.

"Well..  well.. looks like lover boy here is all alone now" the kidnapper sneered and his gun aimed directly at Jungkook.Jungkook knowing he had no time to escape he waited for the man to come closer as the kidnapper slowly approached him.

Just as the kidnapper reached him, he without thinking much hurridlly delivered a swift kick to the man's groin, making him collapse to the ground in pain. And without looking back he ran off running through the trees, adrenaline coursing through his veins. His body was exhausted but he couldn't stop. Not yet.

After what felt like hours he finally stopped trying to catch his breath. His hand instinctively went to the wound on his head from earlier as the pain was again starting to blur his vision.Meanwhile.. Y/N was in the car was anxiously waiting. And just then the sudden sound of gunfire echoed in the forest causing her heart to race.

Panic surged through her body as the horrifying memories of her parent's death flooded her mind the blood the gun her father and mother lifeless body. The fear of losing Jungkook too was unbearable. Without thinking  she jumped out of the car and ran back into the forest her only thought being to find Jungkook to make sure he was okay.

"Jungkook!"  She screamed her voice frantic as she pushed through the thick tress tears blurring her vision. She stumbled over roots and rocks her heart hammering in her chest as she searched for him. At the same time Noah was searching for Jungkook his hand gripping the gun tightly. It wasn't long before he found him leaning against a tree clearly injured and vulnerable.

Noah smirked darkly hiding behind another tree as he took aim. His finger hovered over the trigger his heart pounding with excitement. This was it.
With a sinister smile he pulled the trigger and the bullet found its mark directly piercing through Jungkook’s shoulder.

Jungkook let out a cry of pain as the force of the shot sent him crashing to the ground his body collapsing. He tried to keep his eyes open but the world was spinning around him and the pain was too much for him.Noah grinned slowly approaching him as he step closer, his gun aimed at his chest now ready to finish the job. "Sorry Jungkook.. but you're in my way" he muttered under his breath pulling the gun's trigger back preparing for the last fatal shot. But just then, Y/N voice echoed through the forest  "Jungkook.. Jungkook!"

Noah cursed under his breath his plan disrupted by her sudden arrival. He couldn't risk her seeing him. He clenched his jaw in frustration and quickly darted away from there disappearing into the shadows before she could spot him.

She  ran towards where she had heard the sound and her heart nearly stopped when she saw Jungkook lying on the ground bleeding and barely conscious.

"Jungkook"

she cried dropping to her knees beside him. She was shaking as she gently lifted his head, her fingers trembling as she wiped the blood from his face. "Please.. wake up..!  Jungkook, please!" As if like a magic listening to her voice he groaned his eyes fluttering open and through the haze of pain he saw her tear streaked face. His hand weak and trembling reached up to touch her cheek. "Sunshine..." he muttered his voice barely a whisper.
