Juliet sat on the edge of her seat, Severus Snape sneering beside her, as Albus Dumbledore prepared to pull the three champion's names from the Goblet of Fire. Usually, she'd have wanted the champion to be a Slytherin, still a firm believer that it was the best house, but since meeting Cedric Diggory properly in summer, she had decided that she wouldn't mind if it was him either. She cheered along with the rest of the hall when he was picked, nudging Severus to force him to clap as the man sat miserably, looking like he didn't care either way. The entirety of Hufflepuff was on their feet, chanting Cedric's name, indeed, most of hogwarts seemed to have faith in their chosen champion. Severus noticed the goblet spitting first, tapping Juliet to draw her attention away from smiling at the students, to the flames which were now coming out of it.
Another name.
A few Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students started shouting, calling Dumbledore a cheat, betting that it would be a Hogwarts name. Severus had stood up and was walking towards the cup with his wand drawn. Albus Dumbledore frowned when he opened the paper.
"Harry Potter."
Juliet instinctively stood up and looked over to where Harry sat with a frown on her face.
"HARRY POTTER!"
Juliet jolted at Dumbledore's shout and watched Harry's face fall even further, his eyes scanned the teacher's, eventually meeting Juliet's eye with an expression of worry. Juliet cocked her head to Dumbledore, signalling for the boy to stand up. Eventually, it was Hermione Granger who pushed Harry from his seat and towards Dumbledore. The headmaster ushered the boy through the doors that Cedric, Viktor, and Fleur had gone through seconds earlier. Juliet jumped up to follow behind where Severus, Minerva, and Albus went through.
Fleur was frowning, with her arms crossed, at the mention of a fourth champion, whilst Cedric and Viktor just looked confused, staring at Harry as if wondering how a fourth year wizard had conquered the age line.
Juliet pushed past the headmaster and put a firm hand on her Godson's shoulder.
"You listen to me right now, Harry Potter-"
"Miss Blair," Dumbledore interjected.
"Hogwarts cannot have two champions!" Madame Maxine, the extraordinarily tall headmistress of Beauxbatons was shouting, "it is not fair!"
"Harry did you put your name in the goblet of fire?" Juliet snapped at the boy, suddenly inhibiting the Godmother she had always avoided being. "Did you?"
"No!"
"He is lying!" The headmistress screeched.
"Dumbledore, we trusted your age line-" Karkaroff snapped angrily.
"This is no one's fault but Potter's," Snape replied back angrily. "His greed for-"
"Harry," Dumbledore sighed. "You didn't put your name in, is that right?"
Juliet stepped away from the boy with her arms crossed tightly as she watched Harry calm down in front of the headmaster.
"I didn't, I promise."
"Then his age line- you made a mistake!" Madame Maxine shouted, pointing a bony, long finger at Dumbledore.
"Entirely possible," the old wizard hummed.
Professor Mcgonagall huffed, "Albus, you and I know very well that you can produce a simple age line."
"The rules are the rules," Barty Crouch Sr suddenly said, his voice shaking. "Harry Potter is, a triwizard champion."
"No," Juliet began to protest. "He's too young, Dumbledore, you can't allow it-"
"It is out of my hands, Miss Blair."
