"Astrid!" Hiccup called, landing Toothless in the middle of town, Though he didn't see Astrid, he did see a completely different blonde who came bounding over. 

"Hiccup!"

"Fishlegs! Y'know what, that works too! Something big just happened-"

"Did you see the storm dragon your mom mentioned?!"

"Huh-? Well- No. Fishlegs, How many dragons do you know that look like Night Furies?"

Fishlegs blinked, before scratching his chin with a hum. By the time Hiccup hopped off Toothless, he was already rattling off names, "Well, if you're going for body shape, I'd say a Woolly Howl or Sand Wraith, even if they're not related. I've always assumed Skrills had to be connected to Night Furies, though-!"

"Definitely not a Skrill... Neither of those either." He tapped his foot, "...I think I might've just seen a new type of fury."

He stared at him slack jawed for a moment, before shaking out his hands with a deep breath, "A new type of fury? You can't be serious. Hiccup, that's revolutionary!"

"I know, I know! Though... I think the one I saw has a rider. I can't say for certain or stay for long, I just want to update you guys and prepare before I go out looking for them." He set a hand on Fishleg's shoulder, giving it a small squeeze, "You go and get the book of Dragons ready, when I get back, I'll give you all the information I find out. I'm going to tell Astrid where I'm going and grab Inferno before I go- Be ready when I get back!"

Fishlegs was beaming, nodding quickly, "You got it, Hiccup! Get a couple sketches of it if you can! I'll be in the Great Hall!"

"I'll see you there!"

Once Fishlegs ran off, Hiccup quickly went back to looking for Astrid, a very distracted Toothless tagging along behind him.

He finally found her by the dragon stables, repairing a couple of signs that had fallen, Tuffnut holding her up as she stood on his shoulders to hammer away. Though Hiccup had no idea what the context was of the conversation he walked into, knowing Tuffnut, it probably wouldn't have been much better if he had been there the whole time.

"-We managed to get that boar pit built, but we had to fight a couple of Timberjacks off, and hoo boy, Astrid, they were not happy, let me tell you. Ruffnut nearly got her arm chopped off, it was crazy!"

Astrid scoffed, though she couldn't help but smile, "Wow, that was... A stupid, stupid move digging it out in those parts of the forest- Why didn't you come and get me to help you guys?"

He laughed, "I knew we could handle it! Looked like a close call for a second there, but Barf and Belch learned a fun new trick a couple weeks ago that definitely came in handy- Plus, you were out with Hiccup, I know you like your alone time." He wiggled his eyebrows playfully, eliciting snorting from Astrid as she wobbled a bit, looking down at him.

 "We weren't doing anything, come on! I was helping him with his map, that's all. If you really needed help, I could've came out there with you, you know that, Tuff."

He smiled back up at her, holding onto her ankles a bit more secure. "Heh- Well- ...Yeah, I guess I do."

Pleasant quiet fell over them, and Hiccup decided it was finally a moment that could reasonably be interrupted without being too awkward to bear. He cleared his throat, strolling in with Toothless, who immediately went bounding over to Stormfly. "Hey guys! I got some news, though I can't stay for long."

Astrid perked up, though struggled to keep her balance as Tuffnut moved one hand temporarily to wave to him with a grin. "Careful! Jeez!  ...Hiccup! What's up?"

Hiccup raised a brow, but gestured to Toothless, "I saw the dragon Toothless saw, you were right-! It wasn't any dragon I've ever seen before, it looked like a new type of fury- BUT. But, I think it has a rider. So we're gonna go back out on our own again to see if we can find them."

Astrid stared at him, a mix of astonished and shocked, "I- Really?" She threw out an arm, "What the hell are you sticking around so long for, then, go! That's huge!"

Hiccup smiled at her wide, "I wanted to give you a heads up! I'll be back soon, you'll get to hear all about it!"

"I better!"

As Hiccup jogged away from the stables, Tuffnut shouted after him, "Can I name it?!"

The dragon blade, AKA Inferno, a small jar of dragon-nip, and a pair of Skrill-scale gloves, all went into the leather pack before Hiccup fastened his armor on. Toothless padded over, curling in his wings to offer up the saddle, though Hiccup only patted it. "I think I'll keep these on me this time, bud. If you're gonna get near the other dragon again, best I wear the bag. Just in case."

Toothless trilled, nodding as Hiccup lightly scratched at the scales on his forehead.

"Let's go find that other fury, bud."
