"What's up bay?" Trey texted Chelsea. Chelsea didn't respond because she had so much going on, plus she was still mad at him and worrying about him ending up dead was only making them worse. A few minutes had passed and Trey had texted again.
"I know you mad at me & I understand why but that's my family and I gotta do what I gotta do, but I'm getting my head on right Im not trying to be laying up in no casket with my ma and you crying because of my stupidity Chelsea I love you with all my heart bay."
Chelsea read the message and laid the phone back down, because her mind was all over the place. She hadn't heard from Lil Charles all-day or all night and her head was still banging from Sheila hitting her. She knew Lil Charles was right and so did Sheila. Chelsea had been calling his friend Xavier since the fight happened but he wasn't answering so she knew that's where he was.
Chelsea often thought about what her godmother had told her "It's always a storm before the sunshine.", which made her miss her. Chelsea knew if her godmother was alive they wouldn't be going through any of this, tears had begin to fall because it seemed to be storming so much in their lives to the point she didn't even look for the sunshine anymore. Chelsea tried calling Xavier's phone once again and it was still no answer. She got up put on clothes and headed out to find Lil Charles.
As Chelsea approached Xavier's houses she spotted Charles. Just like she had expected They were around Xavier's older brother Peanut which bothered Chelsea because he was trouble with a capital T. They were all huddled on the porch . She didn't want to walk up there because she knew they were going to start being thirsty and she wasn't in the mood. Chelsea seen Lil Charles and begin to call his name. Lil Charles heard Chelsea and he begin to walk towards her. "Ian mean to push momma but I'm tired Chelsea, it's like she don't get it she just don't understand we been struggling so long mane, and you always seem to be the one worried about it." Lil Charles was growing madder the more he talked. "I know Lil Charles but just come home you know I'm not gone rest if you're not at home." Chelsea said back. "I just need one night away to breathe mane and then I'll be back." "No come home now." "Aight but if momma start tripping I'm leaving and staying away this time." It was always easy for Chelsea to get next to Lil Charles they had an amazing bond, because they had been through everything together.
As they walked home Chelsea told Lil Charles about her calling Big Charles. "Is he going to send it?" Lil Charles asks. "He said he's going to send it but I haven't gotten the text yet it that's why I've been checking my phone waiting for him to let me know he sent it." Chelsea says "Maybe he will, maybe he won't." "Hopefully he will if not then what we gone do." Lil Charles just shrugs. "I seen SJ", he doing good mane it still have me kind of shaken up thou." Lil Charles says. "Why?" Chelsea asks. "Mane that could have been me ya know and the more I think bout it Chels it have my mind running." .They were talking so much they were home before they knew it. "I'm for real Chelsea if moms go to tripping I'm leaving right back out." "Umhmm, yeen going no where." Chelsea says as they walked into the house. When they opened Sheila was sitting in the sofa with a super mean look on her face. As soon as Chelsea was about to ask what was wrong, Sheila threw the phone at them, Chelsea looked down at it and it was from her dad, a picture of the money order and Chelsea thought to herself "dang he had really sent the money." Sheila had a fit. He pride was ridiculous.
