Chelsea had been calling her dad for the past three hours from her own cell number but he never answer, Chelsea called from Treys mom phone and of course he answered. "Run ya mouth", which is the way he answered all of his phone calls and Chelsea hates it. "Dad, I've been trying to call you I'm glad it's not an emergency." "Oh Chels this you?" "Yeaaaa who does it sound like?" "Who number is this?" Asked Charles with irritation in his voice. "Look, that's doesn't matter, Me & Lil Charles gotta come live wit you dad." "What you mean live with me?" "Like I said live witchu, so are you coming to get us or no?" "Ummmm Chels, I have a lot going on right now & I can't just stop what I'm doing to raise two kids, shit where ya momma?" "Did you really say raise two kids like we don't belong to you?" "You know that's not what I meant Chels come on na, like I said where ya momma?" "You know what Charles do not worry about it, you sad but one thing about it you'll need us before we need you." Chelsea hung up the phone and handed it back to Pat with her stomach in knots and so much anger. "I don't know why you even called dude Chels, you know that man don't care about us." Lil Charles said to Chelsea as he put his arm around her shoulders. "Me either hell prolly just hoping."
"That number keeps calling back to back, you might need to answer." Pat said to Chelsea. "Nah, I'm good. I'll just call my aunt and see can she come get us." "Okay, y'all know y'all welcome to stay here as long as y'all need too. "I know Mrs. Pat and we appreciate that so much."
Later that evening a black Mazda 626 pulls up. No one could really see in but as the car came closer Lil Charles realized it was his Auntie Stacy his face instantly begin to beam. See Aunt Stacy she was "the go to person". Seem like she knew all the right things to always say and she'll help anyone in the family anyway she could, she was a thug and extremely loud with a high pitch to her voice. "Y'all bring ya ass on here so I can go around and put my foot up ya mammy ass cause she done lost her mind." "Wassup Tete Stacy, how you knew where to find us?" "What you mean how, this my hood long before y'all started running these streets." Lil Charles chuckled at her comments and proceeded to give her a big hug. "Hey my baby, where ya sister?" "She's in the house, probably sleep she took some medicine she had a bad headache." Stacy kind of glared for about five seconds like a sad feeling overwhelmed her. Stacy's couldn't even begin to imagine having to go through and deal with the things Chelsea have been dealing with at such a young age. She quickly snapped out of it when she realized Pat was tapping on her shoulder trying to introduce herself. "Hey sweetheart I'm Pat, Treys mom." Pat has already said it once. "Oh excuse me, hey guh I'm Stacy, Chelsea and Charles aunt." "Yes, feel like I already know you because they speak so high of you so much." "And who are you?" Stacy asked with a look of concern on her face. Stacy trusted no one, she always felt like a person was out for something no matter how good they seem. "I'm Treys mom, Chelsea boyfriend." "BOYFRIEND!! Chelsea ain't got no damn boyfriend, she don't know anything about a boyfriend." Pat didn't respond because she has a daughter of her own so she understood exactly where Stacy was coming from. "Lil Charles go wake your sister up so we can go." "Yes ma'am" he responded. Lil Charles was always geeked to go with Stacy, she had all the latest games on the PlayStation and that's all her cared about was playing a darn game. As Lil Charles was walking the door, Chelsea was walking out. "Boy slow down, before you knock somebody over." "I was coming to getchu, we finna go with Tete Stacy" "She here?" Chelsea's voice smiled as she looked around Lil Charles into the street to see Stacy. She ran up too Stacy, they both almost fell to the ground. "Girlllll, you liked to knocked my damn shoulder outta place." "Heyyyyyy Tete, I knew you would come." Chelsea was squeezing her so tight Stacy could barely get her words out. "Okay okay let me go." "How you knew where we were, my momma told you?" "Like I told ya brother this my hood, I know everything." Chelsea burst out laughing at her at hysterically. "Same thing I did when she said it to me sis." Lil Charles stated as he behind to join Chelsea laughing. "Shit, what's funny? This is my stomping ground." "Okay TeTe or should I say Gangster Stacy." "Ha ha ha ha, very funny." As she was beckoning for them to get in the car. "Nice meeting you Pat and thank you for looking out for my babies, means a lot to me." "Anytime, them my babies too." They both waved and flashed a smile at one another. "Chelsea make sure you text or call me when you guys get situated and I'll let Trey know you left when he make it back from playing ball." "Okay Ma, love you." "Love you both" Chelsea smile and leaned her head back into the head rest as Stacy pulled off. Just for a split second seemed like all of her and Lil Charles's problem we non existent. She knew the two women in their presence at that moment loved them endlessly.
"So what's this I heard about a boyfriend and why this my first time hearing about it?" Stacy asked Chelsea while poking her in the side. Chelsea smirked and responded, "I was going to tell you teedy, I just know you be so busy" "Umhmmm, excuses are just like assholes everybody has one." Chelsea and Lil Charles burst out laughing again, Stacy always had a comeback for everything. "We going to finish this conversation later Lil one because I need to know more about this Trey person but for right now I'm finna go put some knots on yo momma head cause she done lost her damn mind."
And just like that both Lil Charles and Chelsea's entire mood changed as they turned onto the street where Sheila lived.
