A few days had passed, Chelsea and Lil Charles we're still staying at Stacy's house. She would drive them to and from school everyday. Pat would help out some when she got off early enough. Sheila had called and texted a few times but she wasn't pushing the issue about them coming back home even though it had been almost a week and neither did they. They enjoyed that less hostile environment.
"Mane we get out of school at 3 o'clock and don't make it home until six or seven." Lil Charles complained while walking into the house dragging his backpack. Chelsea just gave him a look that implied she agreed with him. "Mane I be tired like I work a twelve hour job or something." "Yeen never lied." As they both laughed. Stacy was in the refrigerator moving stuff from side to side trying to find some left overs to warm-up because she didn't feel like cooking tonight. "Do y'all want these left over turkey wings from last night?" She asked them. "No ma'am, we'll just pop a pizza in the oven." Chelsea responded. "Hell thats even better, I just wanna relax in me a hot bath and climb into my bed." Stacy responded with relief in her tone.
Living with Stacy was quite different then being at Sheila's. Lil Charles and Chelsea had to wake up almost two hours earlier then they would've at Sheila's. because they had to fight eight o'clock traffic every weekday. Once they got out of school Aunt Stacy would have to run by her boutique, or her office handle paper work just simply taking care of her businesses. That generally took a extra two hours. It was also a lot for Stacy, she wasn't use to having to get kids off to school, make groceries, help with homework and all the things being a parent require on a day to day basis because it was only her. She even started to look exhausted she wasn't her perky happy self as before. Chelsea recognized the changes in her Aunt and it disturbed her, she began to feel as though she and her brother were a burden. She had thought about asking her mom about coming home but she was just as stubborn and she wasn't in a rush to get back on that side of town too deal with Treys new babymomma drama.
Chelsea and Trey had been talking but not like they were. Trey was trying but Chelsea wasn't having it. She felt as though he had did the ultimate betrayal because if he wouldn't have slept with Angel he would've avoided this situation. She was hurt more than anything, she trusted Trey fully. Chelsea would even go as far as blaming herself. "Maybe if I was having sex with him he would not have to slept with her." She only thought it to herself though because she knew if she had told her cousin or best-friend they'll go off on her terribly. They were real, raw and uncut but she knew they meant well and had her best interest at heart. She hadn't told Charles nor Stacy about the baby situation, probably because she heard it enough everyday from everybody at school. Especially from Angel, she would parade around school like it's a prize to be pregnant but she mostly did it to get under Chelsea's skin. As much as Chelsea wanted to lose it she fronted like she wasn't phased one bit which only made Angel parade around even more. "Mane how could he do this too me?" Chelsea mumbled to herself not knowingly at that point she had gotten lost in her own thoughts. "Who and did what?" Lil Charles interjected. "Nothing nosey, why aren't you in the tub?" "I'm running my water now." "Oh well why you in here then?" "Because I seen the light on and I wanted to see what you were doing." "Just nosey Lil Charles." Chelsea stated while shaking her head. "I know all about it, y'all think I don't but I do." Lil Charles said while changing his voice to imitate Bernie Mac when he played in the movie Players Club. "What you know Charles?" "I know some girl lying on Trey saying he got her pregnant." "How you know all that, ya been in my phone?" "Nope, they was talking about it at school because they thought you was the one pregnant." "Ok so yaw messy messy over there at that elementary school huh?" "Nah , I just knew it wasn't you. Yeen that crazy to get pregnant." "Oh really?" Chelsea said with pride in her voice, it felt good to know her baby brother thought so highly of her. "And plus I seen you lookin all sad and stuff too." "No I haven't." "Ummmm yeaaa you have, even Aunt Stacy asked me what was wrong with you but I didnt tell her anything." "Good, Nah go check on that water before we be needing a boat." "Oh yea, dang I forgot." Lil Charles started to run out of the computer room toward the bathroom, then he stopped and turned to Chelsea. "Sis Trey love you, he wouldn't hurt you like that y'all gone get through this." He told his sister with a look of sincerity in his eyes. Chelsea smiles warmly as Lil Charles went on down the hall. She instantly begin thinking about the situation once more but they didn't last long because her phone begin to ring and it was Trey.
