Jovana's POV

It’s been six years since Serena and I tied the knot, and our lives have transformed in ways I never imagined. We’re now a family of three, with a beautiful five-year-old daughter who lights up our world. Her name is Amara Serene S. Rommer. Serena carried her through IVF, and every day I’m in awe of the life we’ve built together. This morning was no different  I dropped our little girl off at school, said my goodbyes, and headed to the hospital for my shift.

As I drove, I thought about how exhilarating it is to be a momda. My days are busy, balancing hospital duties and family time. After my shift, it was already 7 p.m., and I couldn’t wait to get home. I swung by a flower shop on my way tulips, my daughter's favorite. I always bring two now because she gets a bit jealous when she doesn't get one. It’s funny how she’s always comparing her flowers to Serena’s.

When I finally walked through the front door, the aroma of Serena’s cooking greeted me. I smiled and set the tulips on the dining table before I heard little feet pattering toward me. My daughter, excited and radiant, ran up to me, “Momda!”

“Hey, sweetie!” I scooped her up and spun her around, her laughter filling the room.

“Did you bring me flowers?” she asked, eyes wide with anticipation.

I playfully said, “Secret. Let’s go see Mommy.”

We found Serena in the kitchen, her hands busy with cooking. I wrapped my arms around her from behind, resting my chin on her shoulder.

“Hey there, beautiful.” I whispered.

Serena chuckled, “Hey, Love. How was your day?”

“It was good. I’m just so happy to be home,” I replied, rubbing her shoulders gently.

“Busy day, I take it?” she asked as she rinsed the dishes.

“Not too bad. But now that I’m home, I can’t wait to spend the evening with you and our little one.”

Our daughter tugged at Serena’s apron, eager for her attention. Serena turned to her, “What did Momda bring you today?”

“Mommy, momda said secret” she squealed, showing her hand shaking to Serena.

Serena looked at me, “You said secret to her?”

“Uh, yes?” I nervously said

After dinner, our daughter scampered off to her room to finish her assignment. Serena and I lingered in the kitchen, cleaning up. I moved behind Serena and wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her close.

“Thank you for everything you do, Serena,” I murmured into her ear.

Serena smiled, “I love doing it. It makes our home feel so full.”

“I feel like the luckiest person in the world,” I said, pressing a kiss to her neck.

We shared a few more moments in the kitchen, and then I went to freshen up. When I emerged from the bathroom, Serena and our daughter were lying on our bed, chatting and laughing. I grabbed the tulips from the dining table and went over to them.

I presented the first tulip to Serena, “I got this just for you. I’m sorry I forgot to get one for our little girl earlier.”

Our daughter’s eyes filled with tears as she looked at the single tulip. Serena gave me a sharp look, and I quickly handed the second tulip to our daughter. Her tears turned to a bright smile.

“Thank you, Momda!” she said, hugging the flower.

Serena reached for her camera, capturing the precious moment with a photo. After our daughter fell asleep, I carried her gently to her room, kissed her forehead, and checked to make sure the windows were securely locked. I left her room, making my way back to our bedroom.

Serena was lying on the bed, her eyes sparkling with love and desire. I approached her and kissed her shoulder softly, signaling my intentions. She turned to me, understanding my silent plea, and kissed me back.

We spent the evening in each other's arms, cherishing the intimacy and connection we shared. As we lay together afterward, I felt a profound sense of contentment. Our family was everything I’d hoped for and more.

In those quiet moments, I realized how fortunate I was to share this life with Serena and our daughter. As sleep began to take over, I held Serena close, my heart full of gratitude and love.
