Serena woke to the soft rays of the morning sun streaming through her bedroom window. She stretched lazily before reaching for her phone on the nightstand. The screen lit up with a notification from Jovana

Good morning, Serena! Can’t wait to see you later. How about we meet at that new coffee shop near the park around 11 am? how that sounds?

A flutter of excitement danced in her chest as she read the message. She loved how Jovana always made an effort to reach out, her warmth evident in every text. Serena sat up, her mind already racing with thoughts of their upcoming meeting. The new coffee shop had been on her list of places to visit, and now she had the perfect reason to go.

After a quick shower and a hasty breakfast, Serena picked out a cheerful yellow dress that she thought Jovana might like. She added a light cardigan and slipped on her favorite pair of flats. "Hey" Jovana said, sliding into the seat across from Serena. "I’m so glad we could do this."

"Me too" I replied, my voice is full of warmth. "This place is even cuter than I imagined"

As they chatted and sipped their coffee, Serena felt a sense of contentment settle over her. The worries of the past few weeks seemed to melt away in the presence of Jovana’s easy laughter and genuine interest. They talked about their favorite books, shared stories of their days.

Jovana stirred her latte absentmindedly as Serena took a sip of her cappuccino. The soft hum of conversation around them was a gentle backdrop to their intimate chat.

"So, what’s something you’re really passionate about?" Serena asked Jovana.

Jovana’s eyes lit up. "Movies, definitely. I’m a huge fan of anything that has a bit of mystery to it. I love the suspense and the thrill of trying to piece the clues together before the big reveal."

Serena smiled, nodding in agreement.
"That sounds amazing Jo. Lagi rin akong nanonood ng movies na may halo ng mysrery. There’s something so captivating about unraveling a story layer by layer e."

Jovana leaned in slightly, her enthusiasm evident.
"Nasubukan mo na bang mag explore ng kahit anong abandonadong lugar? You know there’s something almost magical about them.... the history, the silence, the stories they might hold."

Serena’s eyes widened.
"Jo oo! I’ve always been fascinated by old building at mga lugar na nakalimutan na. There’s a certain allure in the mystery of what used to be."

Jovana’s face brightened.
"Talaga nakapunta kana sa mga abandunadong lugar? Gusto ko rin pumunta sa mga abandunadong lugar kaso hindi ko magawa dahil sa hectic kong schedule. Kulang kasi ang 3 days para i-explore ang mga abandunadong lugar."

They spent the next hour sharing their favorite films and recounting their experiences with abandoned places. Jovana spoke animatedly about a forgotten asylum she had visited with friends—a place where the echoes of the past seemed to whisper through the halls. Serena listened intently, captivated by the vivid descriptions.

"Lagi kong gustong puntahan yung mga lumang library o kaya mga napabayaan ng amusement park," Lila admitted. "You know there’s something so intriguing about exploring places that time has left bebind."

Jovana’s eyes sparkled with excitement. "What if mag plano tayo ng little adventure na tayong dalawa lang? Hanap tayo ng interesting spot and let’s go there. It would be a perfect way to combine our interests."

Serena’s heart skipped a beat at the thought. "That sounds like an amazing idea, gusto ko yan ha; pero kailan naman?"

Jovana think "Next week, kaso 3 days lang yung leave ko e." worry is visible to Jovana’s face

Serena smiled "Let’s go to abandoned places next week, huy okay lang yung 3 days Jo, gagawin nalang nating memorable yang 3 days mo."

"Ikaw Serena? ano ang hilig o interest mo?" Jovana asked, her curiosity evident as she looked at Serena with genuine interest.

Serena’s eyes sparkled as she spoke.
"I’m really into arts and history. There’s something about the way art can capture a moment in time and tell a story. I also love hiking and trekking. Alam mo yung may mararamdan kang special kind of peace and fulfillment pag nakarating kana sa tuktok tapos makikita mo pa yung magandang tanawin. And photography is another passion of mine.... I love capturing the essence of places and moments through my lens."

Jovana’s eyes widened with interest.
"Lagi kong ina-admire yung mga tao na nakaka-appreciate sa art at history. Hiking sounds like a great way to connect with. Photography must be a wonderful way to preserve those beautiful moments"

Serena nodded enthusiastically.
"Yes, there’s something magical about freezing a moment in time and seeing the world through a different perspective. And exploring new places gives me so many opportunities for great shots."
