To Clara
The candle flames dance as the wind interrupts, loud and heavy in my head.
Darkness has not faded.
Behind me, an empty room; I reach a heavenly garden to which only I hold the key.
The heavy door creaks open.
Roses and dew kiss my feet, the sun's rays burn my cheeks, flowers fill my nose,
And I fly up to the clouds.Eyes open, I never see it again—the garden that saved me from flames,
From darkness and emptiness.
Alice's lonely adventures have come to an end, and it's just you and me,
Dancing under the mirrorball.
The music flows, and I am all of you, and you are all of me—just two lovers,
Living for evermore.Lilly, September 21st, 2024
