Description: On moving day, Aaly felt nervous but found comfort in her new room and a routine. At the park, she met Emma, who made her feel welcome. This new friendship helped Aaly feel more hopeful about her new home.

The next morning, Aaly woke to the sound of bustling activity in the house. Her brothers were already up, their voices echoing with excitement as they scrambled to finish packing their things. The sun streamed through her window, casting a warm glow that contrasted sharply with the chill of her apprehension.

She lingered in bed for a few more moments, gathering her courage before facing the day. Her mom had already prepared breakfast—pancakes with syrup, her favorite. Despite the inviting smell, Aaly felt a lump in her throat. She joined her family at the table, trying to muster a smile as they chatted about the day ahead.

Her dad was busy with last-minute preparations, making sure everything was packed and ready for the move. "Alright, team, today's the big day!" he announced cheerfully, trying to inject enthusiasm into everyone's spirits. "Let's make sure we have everything we need and head out by noon."

The atmosphere was a mixture of nervous energy and eager anticipation. Aaly's siblings were buzzing with excitement about the new adventure, discussing their plans for exploring the backyard and picking out new furniture. They seemed to have no qualms about the change, which made Aaly's own uncertainty feel even more pronounced.

After breakfast, Aaly and her family began the final rounds of packing. Boxes were stacked in the living room, labeled with their contents and destined for the new house. Aaly worked alongside her mom, carefully wrapping her cherished items in newspaper and placing them into boxes. As she packed, she came across old drawings and photographs—mementos of her life in their current home. Each item was a reminder of the life she was leaving behind.

Her mom noticed her hesitation and came over to help. "Do you want to keep any of these out for now?" she asked gently, noticing Aaly's reluctance to put certain things away.

Aaly nodded, her eyes misty as she picked up a framed photo of her family from a camping trip. "Maybe just this one," she said quietly. Her mom smiled and carefully placed the photo in a special box marked "Memories."

As the morning progressed, the house slowly began to empty out. Aaly's brothers, always full of energy, took breaks from packing to play games and explore the few remaining corners of the house. Their excitement was palpable, but it made Aaly feel even more isolated in her apprehension.

When it was finally time to leave, Aaly took one last look around the house. Every corner, every creak in the floor, held a piece of her heart. She knew she had to move forward, but it was hard to let go of the comfort and familiarity she had known for so long.

The family piled into the car, and as they drove away from their old home, Aaly stared out the window, watching the familiar streets recede into the distance. Her mom reached back and gently squeezed her hand. "It's okay to be sad," she said softly. "We're all feeling a bit of that today. But we're also starting a new chapter, and we'll make it a great one together."

The drive to the new house was filled with a mixture of silence and soft conversations. Aaly's siblings chatted about their new room arrangements, while her parents offered encouragement and reassurances. The landscape outside gradually changed from the familiar urban setting to the more open, suburban environment near their new home.

When they finally arrived at the new house, Aaly felt a flutter of anxiety. The house was larger than their old one, with a big, empty front yard and a quiet street. It looked different, and even though it was just a house, it felt strange and unfamiliar.
