"I'm telling my father about your little stunt."

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

McGonagall came back out of the hall, saying she was ready for us to come in. I stumbled up the stairs, following after my two friends. McGonagall leads us through the huge doors, I gasped loudly. The Great Hall was filled with four large tables, one for each house and the roof was stars. Obviously I smiled at this, I am called star. When we were at the front, McGonagall told us to wait while the headmaster told a speech.
The old, long bearded man rose from his chair which was right in the middle of the table.
"I have a few start-of-term notices I wish to announce. The first years, please note the forbidden forest is strictly forbidden to all students-" after that I didn't really listen, I imagined what house I would be in, maybe what friends I could make, the trouble I could cause and carrying on the name star.

"When I call your name, you will come forth. I shall place the sorting hat on your head, and you will be sorted into your houses. Y/N Sigurdsson," McGonagall shouted.
I shyly walked up the steps, realising I would be in front of everyone. Cautiously, I sat down on the small chair. The hat was placed on my head.
"Ah, a Sigurdsson I see. You are very smart, Y/N, much like your siblings. Except, a certain push in yourself to prove something. Hmm, where should I place this great mind," the hat told me as I muttered under my breath to be a Ravenclaw.
"Has to be Ravenclaw!" I proudly got up from my seat, making my way next to my brother that was loudly cheering for me. The brightest smile washed over my face.

After the sorting ceremony, I realised I had been separated from the only two friends I made. I can make others but I already knew the two, troublesome boys quite well. We ate our meals and made our way to the common room, lead by the prefect. The Ravenclaw common room was magnificent, the blue rug with patterns of yellow. Wooden tables on the carpet, a statue of Rowena Ravenclaw with the diadem on her head. Windows surrounded and had patterns of eagles on. The prefect told us to go to the girl's dormitory so I did. A large bedroom shared between four girls, there was three other girls there. Not recognisable but oh well.

"Hello, I'm Y/N Sigurdsson," I smiled towards the girl.
"I'm Padma Patil," she replied. We shook hands and started to introduce our selves a bit more, going into siblings and backstories. I turned to my left and saw another girl, laid down on one of the single, blue canopy beds.
"I don't think we have been introduced," I said to her, "Y/N Sigurdsson."
"Lisa Turpin," Lisa replied with a smirk.
"Quite famous, aren't you," Lisa questioned.
"Um, yes, not me specifically. My great great grandmother."
"Always nice to know someone famous," Lisa remarked. I awkwardly laughed and turned away, getting changed into some pyjamas in the bathroom.

As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was asleep. No time for reading or anything. The next morning, I woke up early, getting prepared for my first day. My satchel bag was packed full of books, notebooks and some other little things. I made my way down to the Great Hall for breakfast after getting lost maybe once. I saw Hermione sitting alone and I decided to sit with her. We talked about books and actually had a great conversation before our first subject.
My first subject was Transfiguration with professor McGonagall. When I had got there, I sat on a table by myself. However, Malfoy and his goons came in. Realising there wasn't much seats, Malfoy plopped down next to me.

The lesson went by quickly with Harry and Ron being late and Malfoy certainly annoying me the whole time. Later, inside potions, I sat down next to Padma. A black cloak came flowing in and it was the professor, Snape.
"There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion-making. However for those select few," the Professor looked at Draco to say he is in those select few. I rolled my eyes and the professor carried on, "who possess the predisposition, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper in death." His monotone voice rang through my ears.
