"he's still a git."

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

Almost the end of summer, obviously I had gotten my letter for the books and other stationary I needed that year. A dinner with the Malfoy family was getting near, my mother invited them over. My father would obviously discuss business in the Ministry with Lucius. My mother would just talk random with Narcissa and my siblings would talk to each other, leaving me and Draco to talk.

Me and Draco were friends now, but he would still act horribly to my best friends, which I wouldn't allow.
"Y/N, tomorrow, the Malfoys are coming over for dinner. I hope you are kind to Draco, he thinks highly of you." My mother patted my H/C, speaking to me in a soft tone.
"I know, I am friends with him, mother. I have been speaking to him all summer." I answered, smiling back and sitting down at the dinner table.

"You've grown up so much, Y/N. I can't wait for you to see how Draco has matured! He's like a little man!" My mother exclaimed, sitting down next to me. Our house elf brought over our breakfast, placing it down in front of me.
"Thank you, Erl." I thanked, shaking the elf's small hand.

The elf walked away with a small smile and nodded to me.
"I'm not sure, mother. I know you have already predicted my future with him but he's too horrible to my best friends, I couldn't ever do that to Harry, Ron or Hermione." I spoke, shaking my head at her suggestion.

"You also said that you weren't ever going to be friends with the boy, see how that has changed." My mother laughed, picking up a letter in front of me that Draco had sent, not so long ago.
"Mother, I'm not going to date Draco, ever." I replied, tilting my head back and letting out a big sigh.
"Let's wait a few years." My mother smiled, kissing my head, "And you'll be a Mrs. Malfoy instead of 'Ravenclaw's Star'." My mother laughed again, making fun of the new nickname I had at school.

"Mother, I will not like Draco Malfoy. Maybe, we are friends and such but never will I marry a stuck-up boy like him until he matures in his personality as well!" I answered with a loud tone.
"So if he changed, you would marry him?" Athena teased from behind me. I scoffed, turning around to her.
"That's something I will never discuss because he will never change." I spoke, rolling my eyes at her.
"But, if he did, would you marry him?" Cato joined in the teasing. A devilish smile was on his face as he saw my enraged face.

Anger was bubbling inside me before I turned around.
"If he did change, I would think about it." I said, eating the rest of my food. "Oh, and I would not marry him. I'm only 13." I added, rolling my eyes.
Athena and Cato laughed, sitting down at the table.
"I know you will like the boy, eventually." My mother smiled.

Blue skies poked in through my curtains while I dressed nicely. A [favourite colour] dress and matching shoes. The Malfoys would be sure very shortly, meaning I had to spend time with arrogant boy I was talking about the day before. A blaring knock was heard on the door, I stepped out of my room, the dress flowing behind.

"Hi! Narcissa, it's been so long!" My mother greeted, hugging the tall woman at the door. Her black hair with blonde underlays was tied up into a bun with a long green dress with black heels. Lucius stood taller next to Narcissa, his lengthy hair tied in a low ponytail and he wore a black suit. I walked down the stairs, revealing Draco.

In that moment, I could take back everything he had ever done wrong. I could take back the words I said yesterday. I could take back my denying to ever being friends with him properly. He had matured so much. His blonde hair now wasn't held back by piles and gloops of gel, letting his blonde hair fall over his face. His grey-blue eyes glimmered and he wore a black suit, like his father. However, he looked much better.
