"You're ridiculous too."

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

I sat down next to Draco's bed, waiting for his arm to be bandaged. The boy wailed and moaned from the "pain" of his arm.
"Shut up, Draco. It doesn't hurt that bad." I teased, poking at his arm.
"It does! If it was any deeper, I could have lost my arm!" Draco over exaggerated, I laughed at his reply, shaking my head.

"You don't lose your arm over a cut." I told him. I brushed my hand over the cast on his arm, staring intently at it. I felt Draco jump from the sudden touch but he laid back on the bed, realising it was just me.
"I could've punched you there, Sigurdsson." Draco joked, leaning back on the bed he was laid on.

"I would have punched you back." I answered, hardly slapping his injured arm.
"Ow! For Merlin's sake, Y/N!" Draco cried out, holding his arm, tightly.
"I hardly touched you." I spoke, rolling my eyes at him.
"Whatever, I'm injured here. You should be giving me hugs and kisses. Not slaps on my arm." He complained, flicking his blonde hair from his face.

"I would never hug you or kiss you." I sighed, slapping his arm again, this time a tiny bit harder.
"Who wouldn't? I'm amazing." Draco winked at me, raising his legs to the other side of his bed. Draco cleared his throat, beginning to speak, "My father is coming soon, he wants to uh..know about the incident with the hippogriff."

"Okay, would you like me to leave then?" I questioned, opening the book that was on my lap.
"No, it's not a problem." I nodded my head at his reply and began to read my book, quietly.

Lucius came, outraged at the animal and the professor who injured his son.
"Father, I swear, it only scratched me, nothing more."
"Draco, I will not allow this brute to hurt my child! Oh, Y/N, how nice to see you. I'm very glad you comforted Draco from that horrible animal attack." Lucius greeted me after his shouting.

"Hi, Mr. Malfoy. Um, I just stayed with him while he got his bandages. I should be leaving soon, I have a lesson with Hermione." I told him. Even though I still sat relaxed in the chair.
"Of course. Thank you for staying with Draco." He thanked, strutting off towards Dumbledore's office.
"Seems like your father is angry." I commented, looking at the helpless Draco.

"Yeah. He wants Hagrid fired or that animal dead." Draco sighed, he looked back at me. "I would be glad with either."
"You don't understand, do you? Because of your stupidness, that poor hippogriff will die or Hogwarts will lose an amazing professor. If you just listened to Hagrid and not listened to your ego then Buckbeak or Hagrid wouldn't be in danger!" I shouted at him. Anger fumed inside me, his stupidity made it worse for the rage.

"I didn't do anything wrong. If that Saint Pottah didn't show off then I would not of done it."
"That's horrible logic, you complete and utter idiot!" I raged, dropping my book to the floor.
"Stop trying to defend it!" Draco argued, shouting in my face.
"Like I said earlier, you're stupid!" I screamed back. "You're trying to kill an animal that you provoked!"

Draco scoffed, laying back down on his bed.
"This is the end of our friendship if you don't decide to be a better person." I answered, rubbing my forehead that ached with my left hand.
"Then, this is the end. I'm not changing for one friend when I have many more." I felt a pang in my heart, I wasn't sure what it was. Pain, sadness or anger but whatever it was, had to leave. I wasn't going to be any of those over a silly boy.

"Fine." I answered, slapping down his jumper that I held in my arms. I had only held it as he had a nap and didn't realise I had the grey jumper on my lap still. "This indicates that you thought our friendship was nothing, right?"
Draco didn't answer, looking away from me.
Rapidly, I grabbed my book from the floor and stormed off.
