After lunch, I walked back to the station and back to work.

It didn't take long for me to get into the zone again. Going through files and CTV footage, nothing to exciting.

By 6pm I was ready to pick up my boys and have cuddles. They give the best hugs, being wrapped in their small warm arms. The best feeling in the word.

Mummy!

Alexander and Benjamin both yelled while running towards me with their arms out ready for a big hug.

Hello, my babies, did you have a good day? What did you learn today?

We counted to 500 and draw the shop, look mummy look!

The boys say in unison. I couldn't help but giggle at them. Tim made sure the boys know they weren't cars. They are shops.

Wow, it looks great boys. Should we show Tim and Angela tomorrow.

YAY!

Alright, well it's time to go home.

Can we watch Blue's Clues when we get home.

Benjamin asks looking up at me as we walk out of the day-care towards the parking complex.

Sure, but you both need to promise to eat all your dinner.

We promise mummy.

How can you say no to that.

Then yes, you can.

YAY, Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues.

They chanted together. All the way to the car and when we got in.

Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues.

OK, ok. Who wants to listen to same music!

Wiggles! Toot, Toot Chugga Chugga, Big Red Car

I don't know what's worse Blue's Clues or the wiggles stuck in my head for the rest of the night.

Once we arrived home they finally stop singing. Don't get me wrong, my boys are adorably cute. But listening to them sing for the 20-minute car ride home, send help.

Walking inside the boys went straight to the kitchen table and started pulling their homework out, ready to start. This was our routine. Coming home after work and day-care, the boys would do their homework at the end of the kitchen table, while I make dinner. Then it was bath time, getting into fresh PJs and teeth cleaned. Afterwards the boys would sit in the living room watching a couple of episodes of their show, while I cleaned the kitchen and the house. So I'm a clean freak, sue me.

At 8pm it was the boy's bedtime. Making sure they were tucked in and comfortable before I started reading one of their books. I read until they were both asleep. God their so cute when asleep.

I sit and watch them sleep for awhile. Ok that sounds creepy, but when they're your beautiful children that you went through 15 hours of labor and 4 stitches in your down stair area. I can watch them sleep for as long as I want.

That and the peaceful sounds of their cute breathing noises they make when sleeping, is calming and adorable.

At 9pm I have my own shower and get ready for bed. Having my clothes pick out, ready for the next day ahead is also a part of my routine. Afterwards I get into bed and start reading my book I had on my bedside table. I read a few chapters before I felt tired enough to fall asleep.

Walking into my office the next morning, the first thing I do is make my coffee. People call it coffee, I call it my emotional support beverage. I may not work in the line of fire like Angela and Tim, but I see horrible thing every day on my screens. Sometimes I need the emotional support.
