Friday Morning – POV Violet

Over the last few days, I've been busy working. With Metro having a technical analyst again my workload as lighted, kind of. It's becoming easier to get back into a routine, it's just slightly changed a little. I work longer hours, often 13 hours a day. Working from home was great, I'm able to spend more time with the boys when I do. After they go to bed, I work for a couple more hours in my office before I go to bed as well. I'm still working at the Station a few days a week and today was one of them.

I'm working on an arson case. A home was set on fire with the family still inside. It made me sick to the stomach. A mother, father and their 13-year-old daughter were found inside. Bodies unrecognisable. Going through the family's history to see if I was able to find a motive or possible suspect. This family was very well known in their community, the father was a professor at the local College teaching mathematic. The mother was a lawyer, more specifically in corporate law and the daughter was in high school. Going through their social media accounts took forever, the mother and daughter posting multiple times a day on so many different platforms. The father only had Facebook and by the looks of it, was only 'friends' with other family members and close friends. So far, I see nothing that would be considered a motive for their deaths.

I need a coffee. Coffee break it is.

Mid-Wilshire Station – Hallway

Lopez and Bishop reach the bottom of the stairs and meet up with Bradford.

"What's going on?" Tim asked while walking up to Lopez and Bishop.

"Talia just got the tap" Angela said looking from Tim to Talia, with a proud smile of her face. She did feel a little jealous that Bishop got the tap and she didn't, but she wasn't going to say that to anyone. This was what Talia had wanted and she wasn't about the ruin it.

"No kidding. That's great" Tim said trying to hide that proud smile from showing.

From the conner of Bishops eye she saw movement in the carport and Sergeant Grey supervising. Looking over, she recognised the woman in the orange jumpsuit.

"What is she doing back here?" Angela and Tim both turning to see what Talia was looking at.

Tim goes over to confront Grey as Isabel is led away. Lopez and Bishop watching on, then look at each other, both thinking the same thing. This isn't going to end well.

"What the hell's going on? They were supposed to hand her over to the D.A. for prosecution." Tim said walking up to Wade.

"She made a deal to be a confidential informant" Sergeant Grey calmly said to Bradford.

"What?"

"She has a lot of contacts on the street" Wade said trying to reason with Bradford on the decision that was already made.

"Because she's a drug addict".

"With police training."

"Which will get her killed if someone finds out." Tim said back, starting to feel angry at the through of something happening. They may not be married anymore but that doesn't mean that Tim doesn't still care about Isabel's wellbeing.

"They won't let that happen. At least this way she stays out of prison" Wade said before walking past Bradford back to his office.

Later that day – Violet's office. POV Violet

"What do you mean she made a deal, what kind of deal?" I asked Tim on the phone.

"To be a confidential informant" He sounded almost lost and a little angry.
