Everything is going to be ok

It's 11pm and I still haven't heard anything from Angela or Tim. I was starting to worry. I was laying in bed just looking at the roof, I couldn't sleep. When my phone did ring, I nearly jumped out of bed from the sudden loud sound in the quiet room. I quickly grab the phone from my bedside table and answer it without looking at the caller ID.

"Yes"

"V, Isabel was shot. They are transporting her to Shaw Memorial, Tim is with her". Angela said.

"How bad" I ask getting out of bed to getting changed.

"It's bad, Talia and I are on our way now."

I can feel my eyes start to tear up, my brain working in overdrive, think about everything that could have happened.

"I'm leaving now, Thank you Ang. I'll see you there" I say walking down the hallway towards the kitchen before I hang up.

I leave a note for Mrs Yong and send her a message as well, so she knows where I'm going. I will call her in the morning.

Gabbing my keys and phone I get in my car and drive to the hospital. My brain still running a million miles a minute.

When I get to the front desk, they direct me to the right floor. Walking into the elevator, I try and take a few deep breathes but nothing is working to stop the panic I feel.

Stepping out of the elevator, I look around spotting a few police officers and then see Angela talking the Talia. Tim sitting down with his head in his hands.

I walk towards Tim, feeling hopeless. The only thing I can do is sit here and wait for the doctors. I sit next to Tim, never taking my eyes off him. I don't think he notices that I'm here yet.

Slowly I move my hand to rest on this arm.

"Tim" my voice was so quiet, I nearly didn't hear it myself. But he did. Moving his head, the slightness towards me.

He does say anything, just looks at me heartbroken. Eyes full of tears that he's trying not to let fall. After a few seconds he moves his arm, resting his own hand on mine. Before looking towards to door in the conner, watching as doctors walk in and out.

All we do is sit there for hours in silence.

After a few hours most of the officers have left including Angela and Talia. Both having work in the morning. I must have fallen asleep at same point, I'm waken by Tim slowly moving around. My head resting on his shoulder. Well, more like arm since I don't quite reach his shoulder.

"Come on, let's get you home". Tim said, standing up and turning around to face me.

"No, no. I want to stay until I hear from the doctor" I say looking up at him still waking up.

"Violet she could still be hours yet".

"I know but I want to stay. I'll call Mrs Yong and let her know I'll be here until she comes out of surgery." I say to him. I watch as he takes a big breath then nodes his head.

"Ok, call me if anything happens" he said.

"I'll will... Are you going back to work?"

"I can't sit here all day, knowing that the guys that did this to her is still out their".

"Ok, stay safe" I say.

He nodes his head, before walking towards the elevator. I watch him walk away, before my attention is moved to my ringing phone.

'Good morning sweetheart is everything ok, I saw your message and the note you left in the kitchen' Mrs Yong asked.
