Valentine's Day

"what's all this?" I ask Mrs Yong while walking into the kitchen after getting ready for the day. There were flowers on the end of the kitchen and a love heart balloon in the conner.

"Just getting into the Valentine's Day spirt" she said looking up from mixing something.

"Right.....what are you making?" I ask walking towards the fridge to start making my morning smooth.

"Pancakes with heaps of toppings. Oh, also Luna is coming over for breakfast." She said before walking over to the frying pan and pouring some pancake mix into a love heart shaped moulds that were placed in the pan.

"Oh ok. Really, love hearts" I say while looking over from where I was cutting strawberries for my smooth.

"Yes love hearts, why do you still hate Valentines Day? It's a day of love" She said before I turned the blender on. It wasn't very loud, so I answered.

"Because it's over- commercialized, you shouldn't feel like you can only celebrate the love and appreciation for your significant other on ONE day of the year. You should be showing them every day that you're together." I reply, turning the blender off after a few more seconds and pouring my smoothy into a glass.

"Did you want some?" I ask, looking at her.

"Yes please" pouring some into another glass, I place it next her before walking out of the kitchen.

"I'm going to get the boys up".

"Alright"

After waking the boys up and getting them ready for the day, we make our way back to the kitchen. It didn't surprise me that Luna was already here and helping Mrs Yong set the table for breakfast.

"Well look at you two cuties with your matching outfits" Luna said while bending to give Ben a big hug.

"LuLu" Ben said still a little sleepily but still welcoming the big hug.

I was carrying Alex as he wasn't fulling awake, at all.

"Say good morning to LuLu sweetheart" I say trying to wake him up a little by jumping him a little in my arms. All he did was give her a small wave before wrapping his arms around my neck again, wanting to go back to sleep.

While Ben walked to Mrs Yong to give her a good morning hug before she helped him up onto a set, Luna walked over towards us.

"Is someone still a little sleepy" she said, rubbing his back. He just nods his head that was hiding in my neck.

"Do you want some pancakes? With honey or maybe bananas?" she asked him. That made him lift his head to look at her before looking at the table and seeing Mrs Yong help Ben full his plate with love heart shaped pancakes.

Very quickly he started to wiggle out of my grip. I put him on the ground, and he grab Luna's hand to moved them towards the table, Luna and I just giggled at the response she got.

Walking towards the kitchen I grabbed my smooth that I left before getting the boys up and walk towards the side of the kitchen where I keep one of my glucose monitors in the cupboard above the fridge so it's out of reach from the boys. I prink my finger with it like every morning. I'm not diabetic but I do have Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) which I didn't know I had until I was pregnant with the boys. I have a monitor in my bathroom so I can check every morning when I wake up before doing my workout. One in the kitchen, which is on the other side of the house from my bedroom and one in my office at the Station.

After getting it set up and getting it into place, I look up to the roof and prink my finger. I quickly use the little strip to get a drop of blood so I can see what my sugar levels are. My doctor did ask if I wanted one that goes into my arm and stays there before you replace it, but when I tried it, I found it too uncomfortable.
