Chapter 7

TW: Losing people, being left abandoned, people dying.

Clare didn't say much but what she did say before disconecting the signal was that she would come to there camp as fast as possible but that she first had to alarm the rest of the Squad leaders about Siren as she was a dangerous member of Nivarnia and they thought she was kia.

Killed In Action

Never before had Clare acted like that towards Raiden or anyone from Victors team but in the room where Zeke, Raiden and Victor were talking to there Captain Clare. One was missing. Ethan...

He wasn't there as he was in the forest trying to locate Siren after about a week of hearing nothing from her.

"Where are you little devil.."

The sound of leaves crushing underneath his shoes. The wind lightly brushing against his skin the leaves are flowing and dancing around closely on the ground around him.

A voice breaking the silence in his earpiece. "What devil? I never did anything, you should ask that Phoenix of yours what they did cause that will be a fun conversation.."

Ethan takes a deep breath cause he didn't think Siren would be listening in on the conversation. It's quite for some time before Ethan answers with a cold voice "good morning Siren, didn't think you would be listening in on me already. Has been some time since we spoke.."

It was quiet on the other end it seamed like Ethan was talking to himself and not to Siren, but that wasn't true and they both knew it hearing each other breathing slowly trough the radio waiting for a response from Siren.

"I- I- i'm sorry..." a hesitant weak voice responding, it was Sirens voice that Ethan heard just above the sound of the wind. "Are you okay Siren?" Ethan stands still frozen, a bit shocked at how Siren voice breaks. Her breathing heavy and unsteady. "Siren answer me.." she sighns trying to get her breathing steady but can'get it to work, "I- I'm okay.."

Ethan looks around if he's still clear or if there are any Nivarnia squads close, but there's nobody it's a quite morning only the footsteps from Ethan that keep crushing leaves under his shoes being heard. "Siren were are you?" Ethan asks a big worried about her, Siren is normally so cold and unemotional and now she sounds like she's breaking into pieces.

"I- i'm in my- my room." Siren sudden stutter making it hard to speak. "W- why?"

Ethan sighns not knowing what to do.

"You.. you seem well different as normal.." he hesitates but continues anyways wanting to know what happened to her.

"you arn't like this normally, so are you sure your okay?".

siren wipes the tears in her eyes away. Taking a deep breath as her breathing get's steady again slowly. "I- I-" Ethan cuts her of fastly after hearing her stutter and her voice breaking again

"siren I was in the forest searching for you cause we didnt hear or get any report from you for some time, if you want just come out, I won't harm you or do anything but hearing you like this seams like you need someone." 

Its quite over the radio a little to quite until a few minutes later the sound of crushing leaves fills the Radio channel. Sirens softly tries to talk again but just breaks down crying over the radio. Ethan who hasn't seen or heared Siren like this didn't know what to do he just wanted to make sure she was okay.
