Chapter 14

HAILEYS POV

"Hailey, I've been planning this party for weeks, are you sure people are going to turn up?" My mom asked.

"Mom!" I exclaimed. "Will you stop panicking, most people have responded to the invite saying they'll come."

"but what if they don't turn up!"

"Mom, people are coming ok? Now, I need to get to school."

For some reason, my mom had planned a gathering for all the moms. I don't know why she decided that this would be a good idea; she just felt it was the right thing to do. She'd been going on for years and years about throwing one like they do in movies and finally I gave in and let her do it.

Obviously, when I handed the invitations out at school a few months ago I gained quite a few glares and odd looks but still, the kids at school handed the neatly decorated invitations to their moms who happily accepted.

Personally, I just think they are coming to be nosey. To see what another mothers house is like and they can turn their nose up to make themselves feel better about themselves. It's just like high school.

Mom's are the same bitches that they used to be, just with children and saggier boobs.

Well, I say saggier boobs but most of them have had that much plastic surgery you honestly wouldn't notice the difference.

My mom was exactly the same.

Once, I finally escaped her constant whining about the party I stepped out the front door.

My smile dropped when I noticed the wall at the end of my drive had no person sat on it.

Where's Jam?

She usually waited every morning for me so that we could walk together.

I quickly pulled my phone out my bag and dialled her number.

No answer.

Is she being serious? She wouldn't have overslept or anything, her mom would kick her ass into next week!

I gave an aggravated sigh and began walking down the side walk towards school.

Well this is fun!

Suddenly, I heard a car beep making my head snap round. A white car pulled up alongside me and the window rolled down revealing a grinning Jason.

"Need a ride?"

JASONS POV

As me and Hailey climbed out the car I couldn't help but notice the stares which made me smirk.

"Jason, they're all staring." She hissed.

"Let them."

She sighed deeply before crossing her arms over her chest and looking over at everyone shyly. I could tell she hated the attention but she better start getting used to it.

"Lee Lee, fuck them all. Just show them you don't care."

"But how?" she whispered.

I leaned closer so that my mouth was near her ear.

"Just don't freak out and follow along, ok."

I felt her nod and her look up at me. I slung my arm around her shoulder giving everyone a dirty look and began walking. I felt Hailey's arm go round my waist.

As we walked towards the main building people were whispering, you could practically hear every word. I bet they were all saying the same thing...

"Hailey and Jason? Together? Oh my god.."
