HAILEYS POV-

Yet another pointless day at school had begun. Unlike the other mornings, I was walking down the long school hall without my two best friends beside me.

Jam's mom had made her come into school an hour earlier and report to the head teacher before going to lessons, have detention at lunch and then go straight home- all for talking to me on the phone. I don't exactly feel guilty though, it's not like it hasn't happened before. This is Jam's mom's main method of punishment. I was kind of getting used to it now.

And Allie? Well she phoned me this morning to tell me that she hasn't slept all night and she feels like she is going to throw up. I asked her why, her answer was "Nick"- of course.

So there I was, left to fight the school by myself.

"Loser."

"Freak."

"Hey, where's STD girl?"

Those were just a select few of the taunts being aimed at me. I just brushed them off as usual and didn't let them get to me. After all, why should they? It's not like any of it was true.

As I passed Klarissa and her bitches they all gave me the infamous glare and let their eyes follow me as I passed. In return, I rolled my eyes and tried my best to walk with more confidence.

Kill them with kindness, after all.

I stopped at my locker, entered my code and pulled it open.

YAY! No booby trap today.

No, I'm actually being serious, that's something to be happy about. It's not been unheard of to have a few slushies fall out on my top by 'accident'. I don't even know how they get into my locker.

I heard the locker next to me open then slam shut before someone let out an aggravated sigh. I quickly peeked to see who.

"You!" I pointed.

Turns out my locker neighbour was the mystery boy from yesterday.

"Look, I don't..." The boy turned and looked at me with an angry face before pausing. "Oh, it's you."

"Yeah, it's me. You seem angry about something."

"Let's just say I'm not exactly happy about coming to school." He replied with a sarcastic tone.

"I don't think anyone is."

To be honest, he really did seem like he was in a bad mood, I didn't want to annoy him. I shut my locker up and began walking away.

"Hey!" He called after me.

"What?"
