Today was the day, the day when I unveil the new me.
Hailey Carmichael, no longer the invisible girl but instead...
That girl
The girl everyone will remember as sassy, confident, sexy and different- definitely NOT boring.
I looked at myself in the mirror. In the reflection I saw a completely different girl staring back compared to yesterday.
Yesterday, I stood in front of my mirror with tears running down my face. I looked drained in my old jeans and tank top. Justin was right, I did look boring.
Today, I stood in front of the mirror with a satisfied smirk on my face. I'd made more an effort than I usually did for school. I added my eyeliner around my eyes and tried out a lipstick that my mom had gotten me for Christmas but I'd never used. I searched and searched in my wardrobe for suitable clothing. In the end, I came out with studded denim hot pants, a cropped black top and a plaid shirt. Perfect!
Taking one last look in the mirror I was walked out my bedroom door and headed downstairs.
"Hey mom, Hey dad." I chirped.

MOMS POV-
I heard Hailey enter the kitchen. She seemed happy this morning, judging by the tone of her voice. Usually, we would only get a few mumbles and grunts. I turned to face her with a brilliant grin on my face.
Something was different about my baby.
"Have you done something to your hair?" I accused narrowing my eyes.
"Oh yeah, I just tried something different." She shrugged.
I stepped closer trying to get a better look.
"You're wearing more makeup."
"So?" She scoffed.
"Paul, somebody has stolen our daughter."
Her dad looked up from the book he was reading and let his eyes scan over Hailey. His eyes soon popped out his head.
"What are you wearing!?!" He exclaimed slamming his cup down on the kitchen counter.
"Show me honey." I instructed.
Hailey stepped out from behind the counter to reveal her in a new outfit, something I never imagined seeing her in. Her bare stomach was exposed...
"Go and change." Paul ordered.
"Why should I?" She questioned.
