"She's a child!"
"She's 17!"
"You can't expect her to stay home the whole time!"
"What do you know?"
"I'm her father!"
"Oh whatever!"
"You was young once!"
These were just a couple of the yells I could hear from my parents downstairs. I'm guessing Dad got home and mom did what she always does when we argue- ran to Dad. Normally, they team up together and go against me but this time it seemed like he was on my side. Thank god.
Even though it felt good to have someone supporting me, the sound of constant shouting was beginning to do my head in. I needed to escape.
Sighing, I stood up off my bed and grabbed a hoodie to put over my tank top and shorts. I slipped on my vans and walked over to my window, sliding it up. The night air hit my face. Fuck, that's cold.
I climbed out my window and landed on the front lawn with a little thump. I hoped my parents hadn't heard me. Oh well
I ran across the lawn quickly and climbed into my car.
Where to?
I picked up my phone and rang who I always rang.
"What?" His raspy voice answered.
"I'm sorry for earlier, can I come over?"
"I'm at this party, I'll text you the address..."
"Jas-"
The line was dead before I could even answer. He hung up!
I let out an aggravated groan and climbed back out my car. I can't go to a party dressed like I'm about to go to bed. If only I could!
I began walking back up the drive towards the house, well that was before I froze on the spot when my front door open revealing my dad.
"Hails, what are you doing out here?" he frowned.
Oh shit.
Think quick.
"I was just putting out the garbage." I beamed pointing at the trash cans at the bottom of the drive.
"But garbage day isn't until next week?"
"Thought I'd get in there quick, you know. Beat the neighbours too it, you know what Mrs Evans is like..." I laughed awkwardly
