Chapter 36: A Missed Encounter
Andrew's eyes locked onto Lily's, his heart racing with emotion. He had finally found her, after all these years.
As they embraced, Andrew learned that Lord Thomas had escorted their children, Kaida and Aiden, to the palace for their safety.
Determined to reunite with his children, Andrew hastened to the palace with Lily. However, they arrived moments too late.
Lord Thomas had already delivered the children to the palace, and they were now under the queen's care. Andrew's heart ached, missing his chance to reunite with Kaida and Aiden.
Lily sensed his disappointment and took his hand. "We will see them soon," she assured him.
Together, they entered the palace, unaware of the surprise awaiting them. Queen Helena, Andrew's mother, stood in the throne room, her eyes shining with tears as she gazed at Kaida and Aiden.
The queen's joy was palpable, but Andrew's heart still longed to hold his children close. He would have to wait a little longer to be reunited with them.
