Cameron POV
It had been six months since we were attacked, four months since I proposed, and two months since the club helped Becca's stepmother relocate somewhere far, far away with a promise of what would happen should she ever appear in front of us again. I couldn't be happier. We moved into our home the weekend I proposed. A couple of the brothers helped me move all our things in. Which, there wasn't too much. Just clothes and toys for Grey. We'd had our rooms set up so there was just the unpacking to do. All the assembly of stuff was done. Thankfully.
Our wedding was tomorrow and Becca was sick There had been a horrible flu going around and everyone was coming into the hospital with it. She'd been trying to not catch it, but she finally caught it. I was hesitant to leave her tonight, but she wanted to have the night apart before the wedding. Parker, Indie, Brynn, Willow, and Rowan were coming over to be with her for the night and to help her and Grey get ready in the morning. All of us guys would be staying at Hades' place with the kids and getting them ready.
"She'll be fine! We've got her," Parker said as he pushed me out the door with my overnight bag and suit.
"Call me—"
He scoffed and rolled his eyes at me saying, "We will. We will call if anything is wrong. Alright? Your job is to stand up there and not pass out when you see how amazing she looks." I nodded, knowing he'd never let anything happen to her. And he was right. I had an easy job.
I went to hang with the guys and have a few drinks.
Tomorrow couldn't come fast enough.
We'd all gotten up, had breakfast, and started getting ready. We were doing an afternoon wedding, so we could let the guests party into the night, but we could retire to our home before I took her on our honeymoon. Which, I'd be making up for when Grey was old enough to look after herself. But, for now, we'd be doing something semi-local. We were getting an Airbnb on Lake Erie and we'd be exploring the city up here. Just for a few days. I knew we couldn't get too much time off and Becca didn't want to be away from Grey that long.
Four o'clock rolled around and we walked down the aisle that had been set up behind the clubhouse. The guests were facing the aisle, to watch us all come down. Prez was officiating for us and standing there, looking proud that I'd finally gotten it right. Not all of us could get it right at eighteen and meet the one we're meant to be with. I stood there, waiting for my girl to come down the aisle. Parker, the Man of Honor, was also giving her away. I closed my eyes as all the bridesmaids walked down. Brynn walked with Quinn and Grey, helping them throw the petals. She handed them off to Doc and took her place up front. The music changed to the chorus of the song I picked out. And I picked this song because I told her whatever she wears will leave me speechless as she does. Every time.
"I'm speechless,
Staring at you standing there in that dress,
What it's doing to be ain't a secret,
'Cause watching you is all that I can do,
And I'm speechless"
And this song is right. I am.
The doors of the back of the clubhouse and out walked Parker, his hand extended as he smiled at my wife. She came out and looked like an angel. Tears filled my eyes as I watched her smile at Parker and freeze when she saw me.
A single tear slipped down her cheek as she smiled the biggest smile at me. They took their time coming down the aisle, waiting for the part where just a piano plays as the lyrics are sung. She smiles at me as the tears fall from my eyes.
I can't believe I'm this lucky.
Becca POV
The song he picked out is perfect. I'm crying with Parker by the time we get down the aisle to Cameron. I tried to hurry, but Parker kept a slower pace, and my hand firmly in the crook of his arm. He talked to me about being such a proud brother to be giving me away to Cameron. He promised to be here for me, forever, like we promised as kids. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek as he kissed mine. He fixed my train and veil and stood behind me. I handed him my bouquet and held Cameron's hands.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today, because this woman forgave this idiot, and we are here to join them in holy matrimony." That earned a chuckle from the crowd. The clubhouse was packed with the club, a few of the Butchered Beasts, and a few of my coworkers. We had about one hundred and fifty people there. "The couple has decided to write their own vows. Bullet, you're first."
"Becca," His voice trembled with emotions, fresh tears springing to my eyes. He looked at me, not even needing his little book that I'd gotten us to write them down in. "You are everything to me. You have shown me what forgiveness and hard work are. You taught me how to truly, deeply love someone. You've given me the greatest gift in our daughter. You shine so brightly, that I will do my best to shine next to you. I promise to always make sure there are enough snacks for the two of you. I promise to always listen to you, and heed your advice and boundaries. I promise to always love you and put you first in everything I do, every day. I promise to dance with you in the kitchen and show our daughter how she is supposed to be loved. I promise to love you, in every stage of life, until my dying breath."
Tears are streaming down my face. I'm almost 100% sure my makeup is ruined and I have black mascara all down my face. I sniffle, trying to get myself under control as he slides the ring on my finger.
"Becca?"
I turn to Parker who hands me a hanky, which for some reason draws a laugh from the crowd watching us, and then he hands me my vows, taking the hanky back.
"Cameron," I looked up at him, reaching out of one of his hands, "You are the love of my life. I couldn't fathom a life without you. It just doesn't seem possible. We are better together. I promise to always keep my promises and love you forever. I promise to take care of you when you're sick and lift you up when you're feeling low. I promise to be a shoulder for you to lean on and a partner to go through this life with. Not one fucking person," I looked at Prez and he smirked at me, "could ever keep me from you. I will love you all the days of my life, and I can only hope you'll love our kids just as much." I pressed his hand to my belly. He beamed. Knowing what I was telling him, without speaking it out loud. I was ten weeks, but so much could happen in that time frame. I let go of his hand and gave him the ultrasound from my appointment. He cried as I slid the ring on him.
Prez said quickly, "You may now kiss the bride."
And man, oh man did he kiss me.
He dipped me in front of everyone and kissed me like his life depended on it. There were hoots and cheers all around as everyone applauded. Prez cheerfully announced, "I now present to you for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Bullet and Becca Matthews!" Making the crowd cheer louder as we walked down the aisle.
This really was the best day of my life.
