"DOESN'T HE HAVE THE BASIC DECENCY TO AT LEAST CALL OFF OF WORK IF HE'S NOT GOING TO SHOW UP?!" The principal of the Kyoto school nearly ripped her hair out of her scalp. It was awfully noticeable that she was under much more pressure than before, beginning to grow white hairs in her thirties.
It had been more than just a 'few' years now since the big incident with Sukuna and Kenjaku. Their happily ever after should've started five whole years ago .. except for the fact that Utahime found herself at the incessant mercy of paperwork and even more so meetings and begging the alumni students to become new teachers after Atsuya suddenly announced retirement and Gojo had an on and off schedule that was never preplanned.
They had more than enough sorcerers to go around .. the problem was that none of them were cut out to be a teacher. Right now, the one carrying that duty was Yuta and Maki who split between curse training and combat training, although they had duties that needed to call them elsewhere.
Shoko sighed, albeit with a smile as she stared at the calendar, prompting her friend to do the same. Utahime paused. "Ah, today is that day." It wasn't a date that particularly affected them, but over the years, it was a day that began to hold more and more noticeable meaning to a certain sorceress.
"Well, you know that no one could love Rie more than he does. It only makes sense that he's out today for her." Rieka and Gojo took a two year hiatus from sorcery, disappearing off the grid for quite some time and popping in and out whenever they so pleased until they'd gotten bored and sought out jobs for them to do. So technically, they were employed by the Jujutsu schools ..
Unfortunately, they didn't need to be .. and so they tended to worked whenever they so pleased, causing a bit of trouble, especially as a certain Six Eyes user had a training class scheduled today for the new class of first years.
But that day, many, many years ago came the first mission that the two strongest sorcerers in existence had ever failed and lost their brilliant sun. The beginning of snowballing losses and suffering that they'd now changed to seedlings of their purposeful existence. The youth that had now faded into the cerulean blue sky that smiled upon them ever so fragrantly.
The several years after Sukuna and Kenjaku's defeat weren't as all peaceful as it should have been, even despite the lengths the two sorcerers went to return everything to its normal state. Due to the exorcism of the King of Curses .. as the balance of nature went, since there was no king anymore, curses themselves grew much more powerful, nearly by a tenfold to fill in for that shift in power that was taken away after Sukuna's loss.
Sorcerers grew mad and Satoru and Rieka couldn't save every sorcerer or human that encountered the irregular growth of special grades, even after Rieka had gone to the lengths of stabilizing third world countries, it aided in the fact that menial curses such as grade threes and fours no longer existed and in terms of numbers, they were much less.
But the amount of special grades had to create a new classification.
There were more incidents like Suguru where sorcerers began to rebel and shift away from working under the leash of being Jujutsu students and turned to making their own cause, their own party or merely their own side to it all. Ideals and visions shifted for sorcerers and now they'd become the primary problem of negative energy rather than humans and curses themselves.
The King of Curses had turned his curse upon the future generation of sorcerers, and as Ryujin assured .. Rieka's suffering continued on with the world.
