Andrew walked into the office as the most excited person ever. He hadn't felt that way since forever. He didn't know that was all it took, unless he would have done it a long time ago.Andrew was on his way to his office when he got interjected by his dad's friend.
"They are waiting for you in the conference room," he said and immediately Andrew followed behind him.
All the board members were sitting and Andrew was the last to get in.
"So, we are all here because we have made a unanimous decision to make you the C.E.O of the company. Since your dad passed on, we have had no doubts that the company would be in good hands and I am sure he would be so proud of you. Also, congratulations on your wedding."
Andrew smiled. He loved the smell of a conquered quest. That's how this felt for him. He was glad that his plan with Krystal was working and that he had gotten what he had dreamt all his life for.
"Thank you so much everyone and I promise you, you wouldn't regret giving me such responsibility."
"We know that we won't regret it. You have also shown responsibility these past few days and i know how those decisions can affect one's outlook of life." The chairman said.
"Yes sir."
"I promise I would do everything I can always for the sake of The company,"Andrew said.
The meeting ended after some minutes of talking about other company matter. The rest of the office congratulated him afterwords.
He couldn't help but notice the bickering going on in the office especially between girls that used to or actually like him.
They were either talking about why he married Krystal, how the marriage took place or how she wasn't good enough for him.
Andrew paid no attention and just left it as it is. He didn't say anything about what was happening. He knew that was only going to make it worse.
Krystal packed from work as fast as she could when she checked the time. She was about 5 minutes late for her lunch with Trisha which they were having at home.
Trisha wanted to visit, to make sure Krystal was okay and was not regretting the decision she made by choosing Andrew.
Krystal got home just in time as she saw Trisha just alighting from the car when she got home.
"Hey, girlfriend," Krystal said, as Trisha walked up to her. They both hugged one another tightly like they hadn't seen in months.
"I have missed you so much," Krystal said, smiling.
"Missed you more."
"Let's go inside," Krystal said, leading the way into the house.
"This place is beautiful," Trisha said, looking around the house.
"I know right."
"Is Andrew at home?" Trisha asked.
"I don't think so," she answered.
They both got into the house and went to the living room.
"Can I get you anything to eat or drink? The chef will make anything you want," Krystal said.
"I am fine for now, thank you," Trisha said.
"So, tell me everything. About Andrew, about your stay here and about married life."
"Andrew, he isn't bad. He is actually nicer than I thought."
"So, you're doing this for real?" Trisha asked. She still couldn't believe that Krystal married Andrew and not Collins.
"What about Collins?"
"I saw him at work today. He wouldn't stop antagonizing me."
"You said you were going to tell me the real reason for all these sudden change. I need you to talk now."
"Collins isn't who we all think he is. The real reason he was going to marry me was because he wanted the company for himself and he is also a liar and stealing from the company," Krystal explained.
"How do you know all of this?" Trisha asked. She didn't understand why this was all of a sudden and why Krystal didn't just call of the wedding.
Krystal wished she could talk about the reincarnation but she knew to Trisha, it would sound stupid and no one was going to believe her.
"I just know it and I am certain," Trisha said.
"Do you have anything to prove it?"
"Not now but I know I am going to get evidence against him, trust me."
"Alright, I trust you."
Andrew walked in while both of them were talking.
"Andrew," Krystal called and they both watched as he walked closer to them.
The memories of when they were all in high school flashed Trisha's memory. That was where they had all gotten to know one another for the first time.
"This is Andrew, his family just moved here. Please make him comfortable."
Brittney pointed to the sit next to her and Andrew had sat there.
Trisha had watched him all through the class. She couldn't get her eyes off of him. She couldn't bring herself to talk to him either and would just keep it inside her.
She would stare at him while he wasn't looking. She would write notes that she never had the courage to send to him.
She crushed on him through high school and thought it was all gone until she saw him couple weeks ago and realized that she had never gotten over the crush.
"This is my friend Trisha, I am sure you know her," Krystal said.
Trisha smiled shyly. "We attended high school together." She said.
"Yes, I remember. You were the girl who never wanted to talk to anyone," Andrew said.
Trisha laughed.
"I am sure that's not Trisha. She is always ready to talk."
"That was before," Trisha said.
Krystal had attended a different private school from Andrew and Trisha.
"You two have fun, I will talk to you later and Trisha, it's nice to meet you again."
"You too."
"I didn't know you and Andrew went to school together," Krystal said.
"Yes, we did. It must have skipped my mind."
Krystal was glad that Andrew and Trisha were bonding in a nice way. What she didn't know was that, Andrew was the guy Trisha always talked to Krystal about.
