Jason was working in his basement, on a new helmet. George and Susan were on his loveseat he kept in the basement. Susan was laying on him as they read books.
"So what's that design?" George asked, not looking up.
"The Ultron vibe one. I destroyed the other after I found out that, you know." Jason answered, refusing to say what happened.
He continued on the design. He worked for a few minutes before his phone started to buzz.
"What now?"
He put his blow torch down and grabbed his phone and saw who texted him.
"Fuck."
"What's wrong?" Susan asked.
"I've got to go."
"Where and why?"
"It's a long story."
George and Susan put down their books and just stared at him.
"You two suck, you know that right?" They shrugged. "Fine. I owe someone a favor."
"You? How? And aren't a killer speedster, why don't you just tell them no?" George asked.
"That's complicated. Remember, I may be fast, but there are things more powerful than me. Remember those aliens?"
"Yeah, thank fuck you have Hellfire on speed dial." Susan said.
"True. Anyways, I have to go to LA."
"LA? Why LA? Who's in LA?"
Jason sighed.
"Lucifer Morningstar."
They perked up at the name.
"As in the Devil?"
"The one and the same."
"Is he really-"
"Yeah. I've seen his face."
"Why do you owe him a favor?"
"Because I asked him for something."
"What?"
Jason sighed again.
"Prometheum Alloy." Jason answered.
"I thought you said you stole that from Kord Industries after fighting the Nazis from Earth X."
"I lied. I didn't want you two to worry."
There was a pause.
"I can't believe you made a deal with the Devil."
"Technically I just asked him for a favor. But regardless, I have to head out."
He sped in a circle, putting his suit on, his weapons on his back and on his leg.
"See ya in a flash."
