I WALK BEHIND TALLULAH WHO MAKES HER WAY INTO OUR HOME. I'm aware that Alice has seen this happen and already told everyone what would happen. I know they will be fine about it. "Oh Tallulah, I'm so sorry you had to witness that." Alice wraps her arms around Tallulah tightly.
"Are you alright, dear?" Esme asks Tallulah as she walks down the stairs with Carlisle beside her. "Yes, that you Mrs Cullen." Esme waves Tallulah off. "Please call me Esme." Tallulah nods with a smile. "You're welcome to stay here as long as you need." Carlisle says and his eyes move over to me for an instant.
He's slightly frustrated that I didn't ask, but he's glad that she's safe. "Thank you, so much." Tallulah's eyes move over to Rosalie who has a cold expression on her face. "Rose, are you okay?" Tallulah questions, genuine. Rosalie turns her gaze to look at us. "Are we sure this is a good thing?" She asks us and her eyes lock on me.
We have a slight glaring contest. "Rosalie." Carlisle starts, I don't back down from my glare. "What if she tells anyone?" Rose tears her eyes away. "Rose, I wouldn't do that. And I'm different too." Rosalie frowns at her words and I fold my arms over my chest as I watch Tallulah.
Her eyes glow a bright scarlet and she levites her suitcase before she places it back on the floor. Pain washes through her, a dull aching pain. I attempt to soothe it with my gift. "What is she tells Bella?" Rosalie argues and Tallulah lowers her gaze to the floor.
"Bella knows, she figured it out too." Tallulah's gaze is low and Rose scoffs. Her eyes move over to me. "She's not going to say anything, she's not like that. She's going to confront Edward tomorrow about it." Esme lets out a sigh as she looks at Tallulah. The family each feels a different emotion, it's overwhelming.
"Let her get some rest Rosalie, we'll talk about this tomorrow." Esme says and Rosalie speeds away instantly. "She knows you won't tell anyone." Carlisle tells Tallulah and Emmett steps closer to her. "Rose is just protective." He says and Alice gives Tallulah a smile.
"You should get some sleep." She says and laces her fingers with Victor's. "Alice is right." Victor shoots me a smirk and wiggles his eyebrows at vampire speed, which goes unnoticed by Tallulah. I roll my eyes at his suggestion. "I don't mean to be a bother." She feels like a burden. But she isn't, she's worth it.
"Nonsense, dear. Jaspers room will have to do, we haven't got any spare at the moment." Tallulah moves her gaze to me and Esme shoots me a giddy smile. "Is that okay?" She stares up at me with her innocent brown eyes and I nod my head with a smile.
"I'll see you all in the morning." Tallulah waves and I grab her suitcase, carrying it for her as I lead her to my room. "Don't be too loud." Victor whispers out, but I hear it perfectly due to my heightened senses. I do not want to make Tallulah feel uncomfortable, she is in a fragile state at the moment and is exhausted, she needs to sleep.
