I GENTLY PLAY WITH THE ENDS OF TALLULAH'S HAIR, LISTENING TO HER HEARTBEAT AS SHE SLEEPS SOFTLY. She's completely relaxed in my embrace, resting her head on my chest as she hugs me tightly. I can hear the speed of her heart increase and watch as she slowly opens her eyes.

"Mornin' darlin'." I say and she rolls over onto her back, laying her head in my lap. "Morning, what time is it?" She asks and I glance at my watch. "Quarter past seven." She nods and moves to stand. The absence of her being in my arms pains my chest.

"I'll have to start getting ready." She says and grabs her suitcase from the closet. I take in a slight breath before speaking. "You can put your clothes in the closet, if you'd like?" She freezes slightly, turning her head to look at me with raised eyebrows. Shock courses through her.

"You want me to stay here? With you?" She reaches for her clothes, avoiding eye contact. But I can see the blush on her cheeks. "Yes. Tallulah, I wait you to stay here." She breaks into a cheesy grin. If I had a beating heart, it would've fluttered in my chest.

"Are you sure? Because once o get my clothes in a closet, they will not be leaving." I chuckle at her words and she smiles at me, her eyes soft. There's a feeling growing within her, one she only feels as she looks at me. And it's one I recognise for having felt the way my siblings feel for their partners.

"It's settled then, you're stuck with me." She holds the clothes in her hands and walks into the bathroom. My face breaks into a grin and I let out a deep exhale. "Jasper making moves." Emmett calls out from somewhere in the house and I roll my eyes, about to respond when I get an overwhelming sense of disgust.

I turn my gaze towards the feeling, noticing it comes from the bathroom. It comes from Tallulah. She's disgusted about her body, I can feel it. "Tallulah?" I call out and hear her suck in a breath. "Tallulah, what's wrong?" I question, feeling as she shoves away her disgust. "I'm okay." She clears her throat and tries to reassure me.

It doesn't work. I don't know why a perfect girl like her is worrying about her body.

I park the car and get out, walking around to open Tallulah's door. She gives me a smile and I gently take our hands, interlocking our fingers. "You know everyone's gonna be talking about us, right?" She says and glances at the people who watch us.

I move my arm and place it around her shoulder, a small smirk on my lips. I'm not as parched right now, when I'm with her my thirst fades away. I can hear exactly what people say, and I don't care.
