Y/N's chest heaved, each breath coming out in ragged pants as they bolted through the overgrown forest, dodging fallen branches and half-rotted tree trunks. The low, guttural moans of zombies echoed from somewhere in the distance, but they couldn't tell exactly where. Panic surged through their veins as they pushed forward, legs burning from the effort. Sweat dripped down their face, stinging their eyes, but they didn't dare stop. A sharp snap echoed behind them—too close.

Y/N swallowed the lump in their throat, feeling the rush of adrenaline once again. "Keep running," they whispered to themselves, their voice barely audible. "Just keep running." However, as they reached a patch of uneven ground, their foot got caught on something—an exposed root or a snagging twig, they weren't sure. All they knew was the sudden tug at the ankle of their pants and the sickening feeling of their body lurching forward.

"Shit!" Y/N hissed as their hands shot out to brace the fall. Their knees slammed into the dirt, and they bit their lip to muffle a yelp of pain. Heart racing, they stilled, listening intently for any signs that the crash had attracted the undead. The distant groans were still there, but none of them seemed to be closing in on Y/N's position. For now.

They gritted their teeth and scrambled to their feet, cursing under their breath as they glanced at the tear in their pants. "Great," Y/N muttered, dusting off their knees, though it barely mattered in the grand scheme of things. The sun was beginning to set, casting an eerie golden hue over the forest, and Y/N knew they couldn't stay out here much longer. If the zombies didn't get them, nightfall would bring a host of other dangers. Desperation gnawed at their insides as they scanned the surroundings, trying to remember the direction of the last safe zone they'd passed through. Was it east? No, maybe south... Before they could decide, a sudden rustling nearby made them freeze. Y/N's pulse quickened, and they held their breath, their eyes wide as they slowly turned towards the sound. A shadow moved between the trees, tall and broad, with movements too calculated and smooth to be a zombie.

Human.

Y/N's heart raced, torn between relief and terror. Strangers were as dangerous as the undead in this world. "Who's there?" they called out, their voice barely above a whisper, but the stranger must have heard. A figure emerged from the underbrush, tall and slightly disheveled, yet exuding confidence even in these dire circumstances. As the person approached, Y/N's eyes widened in disbelief as the man's face came into focus.

It was Jin. The Jin from BTS.

"What the—?" Y/N's voice trailed off as they stared, half-expecting it to be some kind of fever dream. But there he was, standing right in front of them, looking as real and as human as the last time they had seen him in a music video.

Jin raised an eyebrow, noticing their shocked expression. "Are you okay?" His voice was calm but tinged with concern, as if he had witnessed this reaction countless times since the outbreak.

"I, uh—" Y/N stumbled over their words, their mind still reeling. Of all the people to run into during the apocalypse, this was the last thing they'd expected. "You're... Jin?"

He gave a small, tight-lipped smile, his eyes scanning the area for any approaching danger. "Yeah. And you're in the middle of zombie territory, so let's keep moving before they get any closer." He extended a hand to help Y/N up.

Still in disbelief, Y/N took his hand. The surreal reality of the situation hit them like a ton of bricks. They couldn't tell if they were more scared of the zombies or the fact that one of the biggest idols in the world was now their potential survival partner.

Jin glanced at them, his tone serious. "We've got a safe zone not too far from here. You're coming with me."

Y/N nodded, still too stunned to speak, and followed him as he led the way. Each step felt surreal, as if they had stepped into some strange alternate reality. But as the distant groans of the undead grew louder behind them, they knew one thing for sure—this was no dream. They were alive, and now, somehow, they were in this together. As they moved through the trees, Y/N's mind raced with questions: How had Jin survived this long? Where were the other BTS members? But all of that would have to wait. Right now, survival comes first.
