Alyssa's Diary, May 9th 2009 -

Today is Victory Day - which coincidentally happened to be a month before my 11th birthday. I should start planning my birthday, potentially meet up with some cousins and invite some friends along. Hopefully i will be able to organise some birthday games, family gatherings and even outings to last an entire day!

I believe that I can do it! I know I can be very productive, energised and active for long periods of time if I put my mind to it! I could even rebel a little, convince my parents to let me do things or even both if I was manipulative enough...

The weekend was relatively productive - she made plans to rebel a little bit by gatherings with distant cousins, searched for different birthday party games and birthday cakes. She even tried to convince her parents to buy her a Blackberry Storm 2 - the newest smartphone in the market. It would've been a status symbol for her to be even more popular with her peers, and to access the Internet much more easily thanks to the featured Wifi and the friendly screen.

And the productivity didn't end there - Monday May 11th 2009 simply kickstarted a huge wave of productivity. The first thing Alyssa did that day was to hastily and enthusiastically tell her Science and Math teachers of her 11th birthday. Then, finish her homework in class and still have time for brief planning of the birthday party. After that, wrote down various arguments (like the improvement in academics and maturity) in a notebook for why her parents should buy the new smartphone. She and her parents even had a long discussion of who to invite - Alyssa used this opportunity to invite people she thinks will help her rebel.

On Tuesday she already decided to finish her homework even earlier than the end of the schoolday (approximately 3:30pm). Riding this wave of productivity, she decided to search where she could buy the things necessary for the birthday goods, dress and makeup. Of course, it is her grand birthday after all where she thinks things will become better and better! She might as well look mature, sophisticated and wholesome, even if she does have her naughty side and flaws. At 7pm she came home for dinner after going for a productive shopping trip herself, and was greeted to parents who were astonished how energetic she was.

The rest of the school week was so productive she managed to finish her homework an hour before the end of the schoolday, and spent time planning the shopping list for the remaining things to do. It was so uncharacteristic of Alyssa - but she knew she had to use this period for good or else it will end. Thus she continued to use almost every bit of spare time she had to plan for things, invite friends along, even teachers. By the end of the school week, she had managed to finish the itinerary for the entire day - even telling the teachers she'd be absent for June 9th.

It seemed as if Alyssa had a natural aptitude for creative things - showed in how the clothes she bought to complement her classy figure and facial features. She was seductive, and she knew it - she bought makeup designed to accentuate her naturally pink-purple lips, blue eyes, thin eyebrows, straight black-brown hair and very beautiful skin. Alyssa immediately searched for makeup to make herself look much prettier - that highlighted her charisma even more by adding good looks to the mix, to the point that she could get away with being quite narcissistic. As a handsome friend wrote to her:

Dear Alyssa,

These days, I have been impressed by how productive you are, and how good you look. I am genuinely shocked you could be that good looking, and how you manage to get away with shit that the others can't even get away with! You can act vain and arrogant and still many people will love you! I want to know your ways!
