There was no time left to think.

It wasn't just Yang Jian who felt the terror closing in from all sides; everyone else could hear the door to the security room creak open and the heavy footsteps approaching from both the front and rear. They all knew that only a handful of them were left in the entire school.

Zhang Wei, Zhao Lei, Wang Shanshan, and the others were painfully aware that the footsteps could only belong to one thing... a ghost.

The ghost was relentlessly closing in on them.

At that moment, Yang Jian made a snap decision. Without hesitation, he bit down hard on one of the eyes embedded in his arm.

"Ahhh!"

A wave of excruciating pain washed over him as he tore into his own flesh. The agony spread through his body, causing his muscles to tremble, but he didn't stop. He couldn't afford to. Blood splattered, flesh was torn apart, and the intense pain seared through him as he bit off the blood-red eye embedded in his arm.

"Yang Jian, you..." The others turned at the sound of his scream.

They were all stunned, their faces contorting in fear.

Yang Jian's arm was a bloody mess, blood dripping from his mouth, and his eyes were bloodshot, possibly from the intense strain, glowing faintly with a red hue. His skin was cracking, peeling away in places, revealing what lay beneath. The sight was horrifying, making everyone instinctively recoil in terror.

Had Yang Jian become possessed by a ghost?

The blood-red eyes beneath his skin started moving rapidly, leaving crimson cracks in their wake, as if his body was being torn apart from the inside. Blood seeped through his clothes, staining them red.

The pain was excruciating, far worse than when the ghost infant had bitten him and caused an eye to grow. But this time, it wasn't the ghost infant attacking him—it was Yang Jian attacking himself.

And the eye he had bitten off had disappeared inside his mouth.

However, the gaping wound on his arm wasn't left empty for long. The flesh wriggled, and soon a larger, more sinister red eye grew to fill the wound, casting a haunting gaze around.

The sixth eye had appeared.

The fifth eye, after all, was in his stomach.

As Yang Jian's pained screams echoed, red light seeped from the cracks in his skin, first one beam, then another, and another... until the red glow spread across his entire body.

The ground around him responded to the red light, which spread out like a thick mist, contrasting sharply with the oppressive darkness that surrounded them.

Unbeknownst to anyone, another line of text appeared on the sheepskin:

"At 5:30 AM, after swallowing an eye, I successfully grew a sixth eye. Strange red light radiated from my body. I could feel that the area covered by the red light was a ghost domain, my ghost domain. But I realized that the ghost inside me was continuously reviving. I might soon be overtaken by the ghost, lose consciousness, and become a ghost myself."

"As I activated the ghost domain, other nearby ghosts... arrived. Someone was killed by a ghost."

As if to confirm the words on the sheepskin, a pale hand suddenly reached out from the darkness, grabbing the neck of a classmate who was trembling in fear.

The cold, stiff hand possessed terrifying strength, dragging the student backward into the darkness.

"No, no, please! Help me, help..." The classmate screamed frantically, flailing their arms, desperately trying to grab onto something.
